Perfect utensils for people with Parkinson’s.
These utensils work perfectly for my mother who has Parkinson’s. I didn’t believe they would actually work, but she picked them up and started using them like she had them her whole life. No instructions needed to give to her, she used them perfectly right out of the box.

    Great set
I bought these for my Aunt Holly. She loves them. They’ve improved her eating greatly. She can actually get food to her mouth now without dropping it. Her hands aren’t shaken from trying to hold them. Her hands aren’t cramping and trying to hold them and she loves them.

    Wonderful product!
Very well made. Although my mother, whom I bought them for, refuses to use them.

Functional for someone with some wrist movement issues
I like the idea of these utensils set as it helps people who have some difficulties with their hand movement to be more independent when it comes to feeding themselves. Losing such ability could have very impactful psychological effects. I got this set for my mother who developed some hardship turning her wrist, the bent on the for and spoons helps make it more comfortable for her to eat without accidentally spilling food. I would say that the size and weight are right for her.

My Father Inlaw has terrible arthritis and can struggle with standard utensils. When I saw these on my Vine feed I knew he would be the perfect person to try them out when he’s here at our place. He loved the comfortable and grippy handles, which are way easier to hold than a traditional utensil. The 45 degree angle of the fork and spoons works very well for the most part. The one thing that seemed awkward was when he was trying to spear something on his plate as he had to turn his wrist at a funny angle. The other small thing he commented on was because the fork is so sturdy it’s slightly thicker, so he can’t quite use it to cut a tender piece of chicken etc, so he used the knife with the fork.If you have a family member or friend with any kind of issue that makes using traditional utensils difficult I would definitely recommend trying these out. This is a good quality Adaptive Utensil Set.

This adaptive utensil set offers a practical solution for individuals with arthritis, reduced dexterity, or mobility challenges. The ergonomic design, including large grippy handles and angled utensils, makes eating simpler and more comfortable. My dad, who has parkinson’s, was adamant that he doesn’t need these, though. He’s still using regular silverware. I’m hanging on to these, though, just in case. They seem good and solid, and if the day comes where he needs them, we’ll be ready.

I got this as a gift for my parents who have arthritis in the hand. I thought I would be easier for her bad hand, and it was. However, they are a little too big and a bit heavy which makes it a bit awkward to use. Still, this seems like a good idea!

I got the opportunity to try these adapted utensils. I’m always grateful to be able to add to our collection of equipment to help patients at the hospital where I work as an OT. They are pretty good quality look to be decent durable. The large handle offers an easier grip for those with weakness or dexterity issues. The angle can help with compensating for rigidity of the joints (elbow/wrist/hand) making it easier to bring to the mouth. I don’t find these so-called “weighted” utensils that weighted actually. Maybe a little because of the bigger handle but not additionally to really help control tremors. If someone has really weak grip/severe tremors a strap to hold the utensil to the hand can be useful. The knife is actually kind of sharp. I won’t be lending that one out for safety reasons. It will stay in our kitchen for evaluations/activities there. They cost 34.17$ for the set, or about 8.50$/each. Acceptable but worth shopping around for slightly better deals.
