Post Surgery Helper
Recovering from knee replacement surgery. This stair aid really helps me on stairs where there is no rail. I use some support type and this aid to maneuver steps to get from garage into house. Be sure to read use directions to make the device secure and stable.

Works for stairs and also standing from seated position. Light weight.
I love the versatility of this cane. This is not only works well to get you up the stairs, but what’s great is you can adjust one of the feet so it matches up with the other and you can have it by your chair or your bed or your couch and use it to help you to stand! That’s really nice to have because we’ve tried other stair canes before that were not adjustable and that was just awkward. Now, apparently you can use this as a walking cane as well, but I will tell you that is a little cumbersome and just not comfortable so I’d really recommend this just for being able to help get yourself up the different levels of stairs and then to be able to keep it even and help yourself get up when you’re sitting down. What else is nice about this is that it’s not super heavy like so many of them are so it’s not difficult to be able to move it around if you need to put it somewhere. I would definitely recommend folks check this out!

If you actually need this for balance and support, try something else
I got this since I thought it might help my mom go up or down the stairs. I do like that it’s adjustable to fit your stair height or you can use it to help you get up from the couch as something slightly more stable than a cane. However, if you don’t have great balance or need to use this to help support yourself, I wouldn’t trust it. I adjust it it several ways and they all seemed wobbly. I’m not sure who would need a wobbly cane type item, but if you do, this will work for you.

Could be a tad more stable…
Once I figured out how to adjust the leg heights to accommodate the steps, it was otherwise easy to assemble. There are instructions, but they are not detailed at all. It serves its purpose, but I would only give it an A- for stability. My 99 year-old grandmother uses the stair rail in one hand and this with the other when going up/down the stairs at home.

Adjustable Cain for Stairs
I did not even know this existed and I am thrilled I found it. I have an elderly parent who uses a walker. When they need to leave the house for appointments, it is very difficult to navigate the 10 stairs in the front. We have been using a gait belt, but this really makes it so much easier. It is really easy to assemble and adjust. I was happy that you can adjust it differently for different stair heights. For example, we have a sunken living room, with a short step, and I can use this as a small railing for that space when my parents visit. It is also very useful to know that the cain can easily be readjusted if needed once we reach our appointment. There are so many times this would have made things much easier for us. I am happy we have it now.

Unstable
Very unstable. It’s a good idea in theory but the cane is very wobbly so other support is needed.

Works great
This works well just as described. Still be careful to place it correctly and hold onto the other rail. Also make sure that you adjust it to properly fit the step height.
