Great choice
Was missing a part and called vive and received it the next day. It is great for our walk in shower and very comfortable. Wish it had a bar at the bottom to be able to aid in lifting over a threshold but it is so easy to use. Locking wheels are a little hard to lock when barefoot but fine with shoes. Best value and arrived the next day. Highly recommended compared to more expensive chairs with high shipping. Easy to assemble

An absolutely outstanding and versatile commode / shower / transport chair [5+ stars]
This is about the best of the many chairs I have assembled, tried and reviewed in this category; just outstanding in every aspect.□ Packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition.□ Engineered exceptionally (design and fit).□ Literally 2 minutes to assemble only 4 parts; no tools needed.□ Lightweight aluminum frame at just under 14 pounds on my scales (weighed multiple times)□ Strong / Sturdy to me and I am a larger than average sized male but far from the 275-pound capacity.□ Roomy yet fits through doorways: I measured the maximum outside width to be 21 5/8”.□ Seating area is about 17 5/8” between the arms and 16 1/2″ deep (to the seat back).□ Mesh material back rest is nicely positioned adding to the overall good comfort of this chair.□ Height has 3 setting which I measured to range from 18 3/4″ to 20 3/4” (floor to the top of the seat).□ Wheels all turn 360 degrees for great maneuvering, lock / unlock easily, and roll smoothly on the floor.□ Versatile leg rest can be: 1. Up, or Down 2. With / 3. Without (for transport) 2 rest support legs down.□ Large commode bucket with handle and lid that sits very securely under the toilet seat.□ Easy to clean rust resistant, corrosion proof aluminum and sturdy non-porous plastic-like materials. And the main positive feature of this chair is its versatility as it is a commode, a shower chair, and a transport chair. Note there is no padding of any kind on the toilet seat (which is also the seat when the removable center seat piece is in place) or the arms. The back rest is flexible mesh and adds comfort.Another benefit to me is the maker, Vive Health. They are significant in this field offering many items and their customer service phone lines are open 9:00am to 6:00pm EST daily they promise a call back within 4 hours per their website.Overall, this is really a great versatile commode / shower / transport chair. At just under the $100 US mark (at the time of this review) to me it is a great value. I would enthusiastically recommend it for family and friends to consider; a real 5+ star winner!

The wheels can be very helpful for showering
This chair is a multi-functional help for severely mobility-challenged adults and their helpers. Sometimes, if a person can’t transfer into a shower chair, bathing becomes nearly impossible. If one has a step “free” shower (which usually includes a small, 2-3 inch lip, the front wheels of this chair can move the chair inside of the shower, even if the back ones stay out. A fully flat shower floor enables this chair to go all the way in.The cut-out for the commode pail is very helpful for bathing. The footrest is also helpful, and it’s good that it retracts.I don’t think anyone should plan to rely on this chair for long-term sitting or as the only transfer chair available, but it definitely is a helpful tool to have in the mobility arsenal. If you don’t have a shower situation at all that would enable you to use this chair (if, for example, you only have a regular bathtub), you could place this chair on any tile or linoleum floor and give a person a very good “chair bath” without needing to worry about the chair getting wet or the person being unstable. Then, you would just need to mop up/dry the floor. This chair provides that versatility because, unlike a regular shower bench, it has the wheels.

Excellent quality and functionality
I am reviewing: Vive Commode Shower Chair with Wheels – Bathroom & Bedside Wheelchair for Seniors, Adults, Elderly, Disabled, Handicap – Rolling Toilet Transfer Seat with Arms, Safety Footrest, & Removable BucketThe wheels really make this product stand out. The chair comes mostly assembled, just fold out the 3 sides, add the backrest and the foot stand. All done with simple pop buttons. The foot rest easily swings up, and then the two feet swivel out of the way. The wheels lock in place for safety. The height is adjustable. The construction and materials all look and feel very good. The wheels are large and the chair can be moved easily across the floor, even with a person sitting on it. The size is wide enough for most to sit comfortably. The basin can be used, and then covered to wait for morning, or can be pulled out for immediate cleaning. The chair seat opening is easily removable, and the opening is sufficiently wide and comfortable. The chair feels solid, the welds are sturdy. The chair is just so easy to move around, and can quickly be taken down and folded for transport or storage. It’s really the most functional potty chair I’ve tried, and the only thing it really isn’t made for would be the bath. A handicap accessible shower would be fine. With all of these positive attributes, the chair is an excellent value.
