It is a lovely set of tableware. I bought it for my husband and he was excited to get it.

Perfect choice
My husband has suffered with essential tremors for years. I’ve been having to feed him. OT recommended weighted silverware and I ordered these and he’s working so hard at using them and he loves them. I also think they look very nice too. Thank you for this independence for him.

Works Just as Advertised!
Just recently received these utensils, which I ordered for my husband due to having a familial tremor. Let’s just say that sitting down and digging into a meal hasn’t been the best part of his day! I went online and researched ways to reduce the effects that the tremor causes and the potential for embarrassment while trying to eat. That’s when I came across these weighted utensils. After reading other reviews I was a bit undecided, mainly due to the cost, but decided to purchase them so he could give them a go! They arrived quickly using Prime, are stainless steel, dishwasher safe, heavy but not too much so, a nice design, and worth every penny. The weight of these utensils is definitely making a huge difference in the way my husband is able to consume his food, with much less shaking and therefore less potential for spills. He can actually enjoy a meal again and now isn’t embarrassed to dine out as he takes these with him to restaurants. To put it plainly, my husband says they are “the bomb!” That’s good enough for me. 😊

Helped with shakes, and…
These helped with Parkinson’s shakes, but my old and frail mom found them to be too heavy. Maybe better for a larger person. She loves soup and the spoon is too heavy that when set on the side of the bowl, the bowl tips over. These are nicely made and easy to clean. We opted for ones a little lighter, not pretty at all, and the mouth piece can be bent to more easily go in the mouth, which helps when they are heavier.

Heavyweight Silverware
They have enabled me to eat a whole meal without dropping food all over the place. They are a nice heavy weight and they help tone down my tremors a lot.

Function and Form!
My dad has been using the silverware exclusively because he really likes it and finds it helpful. This lovely set replaced the very practical spork with a big plastic handle that helped him steady his hand.

Very heavy and large handles
I don’t use them, not user friendly. Makes it more difficult to eat.

My daughter purchased a set of these earlier in 2023 and were at the perfect angle for eating out of a bowl or off a plate. Bottom of the spoon or fork was level with the bottom of the bowl, you lifted your hand up and did not have to alter the angle of your hand to eat – was great. This set, however, the angle of the spoon and fork are the same as any other cutlery set. You have to adjust the angle of your hand, which can initiate tremors, and end up losing most, if not all, your food. I do note, on a positive, that the join between the handle and the prongs or the spoon bowl is a lot thicker and stronger. This may be why the ang;e is now what it is.

This product was gotten for a man with familiar tremors. Keeps a persons independence and dignity. The weight a person more control with eating The spoons are deep so liquids are easier to keep on the spoon. The great thing is about these utensils is that they look like normal utensils so a person doesn’t feel like they are using a specialty item.
