It works for people with dementia..
It works absolutely the way it says.. The sound definitely wakes you up which is what you want. An adjusted volume but it definitely works as soon as my Mom. Steps one foot on the ground it wakes you to rush over at night and help her to the bathroom or why she is up great for people with dementia if the wonder at night and prevents falls if you get there before they even attempt to stand up.. It does it’s job..

Lifesaver!
Love this product! My 87 yr old father has dementia and often wakes up in the middle of the night. There was one instance where he fell getting out of bed and were awaken only because he called out for help. After that, I didn’t really sleep well for fear of Dad falling again. I looked into using a sensor of some sort, to let me know when Dad got up. Bed pads or floor pads would not work because Dad often “fixes” his bed and anything that can be moved often ends up being hidden someplace. I decided a motion sensor would work best since it can be mounted out of Dad’s reach.I looked at several different motion sensors and the one comment that seemed prevalent was that the lowest volume was still loud enough to wake the whole house. I decided on this one because of you can set it to vibrate. The sensor works very well. If your loved one frequently moves while sleeping, the sensor will pick it up and go off throughout the night. It will continue to go off until there is no motion. When I first started using this, I would get up to check Dad as soon as the alarm went off. But it didn’t take long for me to realize, if I wanted a minute, Dad would settle down and the alarm would stop. I was able to get a more restful sleep, knowing that when the sensor alerted, I can get to Dad before he got out of bed, thereby reducing the risk of him falling and hurting himself.I highly recommend this product,

WORKS for us. Wide angle detection
Easy for me to use, not everyone can figgure out how to adjust volume or select melodies, SO keep reviewing instructions if you don’t get it, try again. Not that difficult for me. SEVERAL melodies, pick the one you want to hate, or rotate off of. This has been essential with door alarms for a post Radiation roaming brain cancer patient whose hearing is variable. The ‘bells’ , as he calls them, get set off when being restless allowing care takers to sleep until needed , the wide angle allows placement to detect movement from a chair or bed in a ‘great room’ , placed 1 foot off the floor only large movements are detected while patient is on the bed. That is essential to cut down on ‘false alarms’.

Works great
This was perfect for us. We have an autistic kiddo that likes to wander at night and this has been the perfect fix. We put the one part under his bed and the other part in our room. It will go off for us, but stays silent on his end so we can redirect him to bed without disturbing our other kids.

Great alert system.
A great way to know when my mom gets up in the morning! She is 95 and it alerts me as soon as she puts her foot on the floor.

Clear
Placed an under bed to alert me when recovering husband tried to get out of bed by himself… used for maybe 10 nights. Went to use it again now and I only receive one sound. It’s the Lone Ranger tune. I’m not happy with a $30 product. 30 day warranty of return or replacement. Not a happy customer.

Not only for the elderly….
Nice quality alarm. I got this to alert me when my dog is at the door to come in. Works great for this purpose!!

Another Safeguard
I ordered this because I am caregiver to a senior relative with dementia. I need to put some thought into where to place it. I would like to have it plugged in to a power source with the USB C cord, so I will need to be close to an outlet. I have a longer cord than what came with the device.I want to place this somewhere so if he starts sleep walking, as he sometimes does, I can hear it and keep him from trying to get out of the door. We haven’t gotten special locks put in yet but I guess we will.It seems to be loud enough for me to hear, even with my not perfect hearing. I like that there are several sounds to choose from. I plan to choose the loudest, although the door bell ringing sound would get my dogs barking and that for sure would wake me up.It looks like it will be easy enough to install, and I plan to put it on a wall rather than the ceiling since our ceilings are high….and I do need to be close to an electric outlet. It is small to be so powerful.I will share another photo when I get it installed. We need so many safeguards to protect our loved ones.
