Test strips are actually affordable. Only keeps the most recent number. So you might have to write down or use an app to track your patterns. Small and easy to bring with you. Lancet can be set at 1 and works well

Great accuracy, and compact portability
I’ve used a number of blood glucose meters over the years, including one that was much more expensive. I picked up this AUVON kit to have a backup, but it’s quickly become my primary meter. I’ve tested it against my older, more costly machine, and the readings are always exactly the same, which gives me a lot of confidence in its accuracy.The best part, besides the accuracy, is the value. I was shocked to find that buying this whole kit, complete with the monitor, test strips, and lancets, is actually a lot more affordable than just buying a refill box of test strips for my old meter. It’s a fantastic deal for everything you get.The meter is also incredibly easy to use. The instructions are clear, and you don’t have to fiddle with any coding. The device’s functionality is also top-notch; it saves your readings and calculates 7, 14, and 30-day averages, which helps a lot with tracking your progress. I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable glucose monitor.

Wonderful kit for a great price.
I picked this kit because of the price and recommendations from Amazon and other sources. The lancet device is the best I have ever used; it’s easy to install needle, good depth settings, easy to see if in the ready position, and to easy trigger. As far as those who have compared this meter to other glucose meters with unfavorable results; how many of us have purchased calibration strips to see if our test strips, and meter are still correctly calibrated? I don’t because of cost and very short shelf life of test fluid once opened :ACCEPTABLE VARIANCE BETWEEN BLOOD GLUCOSE METERS ACCORDING TO FDA AND ISO 15197:2013 STANDARDS:For glucose values ≥100 mg/dL, readings should be within ±15% of the lab reference.• For values <100 mg/dL, readings should be within ±15 mg/dL of the lab reference.These limits apply to 95% of measurements. Examples:• If actual glucose is 150 mg/dL, acceptable range: 127.5–172.5 mg/dL.• If actual glucose is 90 mg/dL, acceptable range: 75–105 mg/dL.In Practice:Even quality meters may differ by 10–20 mg/dL or 10–15% due to:• Calibration differences• Expired or degraded strips• Small or inconsistent blood drops• Environmental factors (temperature, humidity)Tips for Consistent Results:• Use fresh strips from the same lot• Wash and dry hands before testing• Use a large enough drop of blood• Test both meters immediately using the same sample.And the last things I like; besides the kit being very reasonably priced, so are follow up test strips. I especially like the ability to add to the sample if I did not get quite enough blood on the strip (saves throwing away a good strip really) plus wicking is superb.
