The magnifier is convenient for reading small print, particularly Bibles, and is not too heavy to hold for extended periods. HIGHEST-QUALITY COLLAPSABLE, LIGHTED MAGNIFIER!
Over time I have ordered more of these wonderful lighted magnifiers. The magnifier is high quality and crystal clear. The magnifier collapses from the handle. The handle performs perfectly and is always secure. The battery life is very good. There are two adjustments for lighting, one click, then another increases the light. The “on” button for the light is conveniently located where the magnifier meets the handle when extended open, very easy to access without looking. I like one magnifier at my desk, one at my nightstand, and I have given two to my daughter. She keeps one at her friend’s house. Tiny print is no problem anymore. It’s very important to insert the batteries according to the instructions. To help me do so correctly I have drawn a picture and pasted it onto the handle to remind me. That’s how long the batteries last! I put clear tape over the battery compartment to keep the battery cover on securely. I always check that my new batteries are at full power with a battery reader for optimal performance. I highly recommend this magnifier, you will not be disappointed!

Better and brighter to see with
It seems like my eyes get weaker and the print gets smaller as I get older. Some of the footnotes in books I read is so small I’d swear it is a 1 font size. That prompted me to buy a magnifying glass. I looked at several and I really like this one. It comes in a 6″ by 4.5″ cloth pouch with drawstring. It easily fits in most purses and in a man’s jacket pocket. The handle is collapsible making the glass 5.5″ by 4.5″ square when stored. With the handle fully opened the glass is 9.5″ long. When fully opened the handle is offset making it easier to hold and use. The feature I like most is the lighting. The LED lights have two brightnesses to illuminate what you are trying to read. Since the lights are on the side facing the reading material it is important to specify right handed or left handed use when ordering, although a right handed glass can be used by a left handed person (and vice verse) by turning the glass upside down. Its a little more awkward to hold it this way so I suggest it is best to specify which hand will hold it. It takes 4 AAA batteries. The batteries should last quite a while since the LED lights do not draw much. I’ve never replaced my batteries and I’ve had this glass for more than a year.

Magnifiying lens for small font writings.
I ordered a 2 power lens and it is perfect for my needs. The 2 different light setting are necessary for good viewing. The swing out handle is comfortable however it only swings out to the right side. This could be a problem for left handed persons. Good quality lens. The rectangular lens is very nice.

    Convenient and handy
My vision is going and these lighted magnifiers help tremendously. I can take one in my purse when going out and needing to read a menu. Folded it takes little space.

    Very helpful Magnifying glass
Very helpful magnifying glass. Very lightweight, does exactly what it is supposed to do, help an older person read the small print. Zero complaints, a very helpful device.

    instructions are illegible
The magnification is fine, but the instructions are illegibly tiny (don’t the manufacturers know that their market has vision problems???). I will get help to put in the batteries, and then I hope the light will REALLY help.

After being so often disappointed in magnifiers this unit comes as a welcome surprise. Sure, it’s a bit costly but it’s worth every penny. The rectangular window is ideal for text and there’s effective 2-stage illumination. The best part is the optics which are practically distortion free – just a bit of “pincushion” distortion edge-to-edge. If you or someone you know is at that age where reading the microscopic instructions on a pill bottle has become a challenge, this is for you. Many other uses come to mind. Requires 3 X AAA batteries (not included) for the illumination – good choice as you know you’re not getting 4-year-old batteries. Highly recommended.

The magnifying is consistent throughout the lens, so it works well. The light is bright enough to be effective. It feels solid, so unlikely to fall apart unless dropped on a hard surface.

I have macular degeneration in one eye and that makes reading hard so this magnifying glass with the bright light is just right for reading newsprint. You just need three AAA batteries. The little carrying bag is a bonus and the price of the light is right.

Its very well made and works better than others I have used. I am ordering a second one. One for work and one for home. I am 77 years old and this really helps with fine print that is difficult at this age. Highly recommend.
