    As Described
This transfer belt looked to be something a local charity could make use of. So, it was ordered.Delivery was fairly quick: Two days. And, that matched the delivery estimate exactly. These belts are rather durable and it was in good condition — As expected. The belt measures 6-1/2″ wide and a total of 34″ long, not including the very long straps. The belt might fit as small as a 38″ circumference. It is described as fitting up to 56″ circumference. (I suspect that may be a conservative number given the lengths of the straps although I did not try extending them fully.)The belt appears to be constructed adequately and all three straps are adjustable via four of those slip-buckle gizmos. I wish some type of ‘storage’ had been provided for the unused portions of the straps. It has six handles, as described. One on each side, and the other four across the back between the two side straps.

    Ridiculously LARGE
Unlike most items made in China, this item is SO LARGE. If you look at the model in their photo you can see that it’s on the smallest setting and still is loose. Do not buy unless unless your patient is a 2X Large at least. I don’t understand why they don’t offer the product in a smaller size.

    Nicely made w/suitably stitched straps
I don’t know which of us between my husband or myself may need to wear this first, but it is reassuring to have this gait aid on hand in my first-aid supplies. My husband is a foot taller than me, so would have no problem using it to help me get around, especially up and down stairs, assuming I gain an injury than makes it hard to do daily tasks. If the tables are turned and I need this to help ‘him’ around, I will need to research more how to properly assist him up and down without straining myself. Either way, I understand the wearer must be able to offer some of their own assistance, and hopefully we will never be in the position of needing more support than this. I’m glad to have found this item and can tell that it is made well as someone who has sewn a lot of things myself. It is a wise product to keep on hand as we age are still mobile around the house and grounds.

    A Very Useful Product!
I purchased this GeerDuo brandGait Belts Transfer Belt for Seniors with Leg Loops and 6 Handles, Medical Nursing Safety Patient Assist – Bariatric, Elderly, Physical Therapy Loops.I got this because I will need it in the future. I’m new to assist equipment like this, so I’ll do my best to review despite my unfamiliarity. This fits my waist at 39″. The legs loops fit also. The waist and loops are adjustable by slide style buckles and quick release. Once adjusted, they’re very secure. The padding on the belt is comfortable and thick. The leg loops aren’t as comfortable. This have vertical AND horizontal grab grips in a flexible but sturdy soft-grip material-so this makes it useful for assisting in different positions or angles. The stitching is well done and secure also-nothing is going to separate. This is overall very simple and easy to use. My husband and I did a test-run using the belt, and it is very functional!I feel this is a very good value for the quality and usefulness.

    Enough straps, but…
This is a well-made gait belt. It secures well, but the lower belts are not totally comfortable.

    Heavy duty and very helpful
If you’re familiar with a gait belt you will probably appreciate this one. There are some cool features on it that, for the most part, are better than the plain ones. It’s a little up and down on if all the features are better at all times and it will depend on your needs.A simple one is just a strap. That’s it. This one has handles on it to make holding it easier. The leg straps also add some extra support which is good. This one clips though where the simple straps have that claw closure that you know cannot come undone or break. The clip shouldn’t break but it isn’t as strong as the metal claw either.Plenty of extra length to fit around the waist – even a larger person. Not sure how much weight it would fit but for the person we needed it for it worked.

A good “standing assistance” aid; no instructions; clips easy to work with; not for skinny person
This does not come with instructions and it should even though I know how to use this. This transfer belt has leg loops with decent buckles that are easy to unfasten and fasten. I do wish the leg straps were padded. Once this is all fastened, the tightest I could get the waist belt was 38″. This does not cinch tight enough for a very skinny person. There are a total of six handles (two horizontal and four vertical) that help in lifting up someone who needs extra assistance. The horizontal ones are in the back and vertical ones are on each side. This is also wide enough for the average individual but not small enough for a skinny person. The best part of this is that there are leg straps which help keep the belt from riding up during lifting. This is strong, well-made, and of good quality but I do wish the leg straps were padded.Of course, the person using this has to have some ability to help unless the one using the handles and lifting is super strong. Also, it is important to ensure the clasp is fully shut before using this to lift. I recommend pulling on the clasp first to ensure it does not slip out.The current price of $26.99 ($29.99 minus 10%) is competitively priced. If this came with instructions and the leg straps were padded, then this would have received 5 stars.
