Customers find the blood pressure monitor easy to use and appreciate its clear voice guidance and readability. However, the accuracy and functionality receive mixed reviews – while some find it accurate when compared to manual readings, others report inconsistent results, and some mention it only works for a few minutes. Moreover, the voice quality gets mixed reactions, with some finding it clear while others find it annoying. Talking Cuff
Has tremendously helped my blind uncle be able to keep track of his high blood pressure. The automated system is amazing and will read the results back to him so he doesn’t have to have someone come out simply to take his blood pressure!

Not a dependable product
Rated blood pressure as 200/96 or higher almost all the time. It scared me to the death. I went to ER because of it and had blood pressure of 166/78. I felt foolish. I checked it again when I got home and sure enough showed 204/96. I need something that is accurate all the time and this product definitely failed!

Update
When I first ordered this item I ordered the rechargeable one. It was difficult to find a charger with the correct port. The help at Best Buy finally found one. It is generally useful although on both the display flashes on too fast to read. Hard to read the small icons and the battery’s charge level also hard to see. I like the three colors for back lighting but the battery one has no back light. It should at least have one neutral color for readability especially if light levels differ.Update. June 2024. The rechargeable one has died after one year. Because the charging code is nit well designed to have a sturdy neck below the end which goes into the charging port I can’t tell if it is the cord where you can see a few mm of wire at the base despite taping or whether the battery has died. It only works for a few minutes and then stops. A replacement cord likely not easily available. TThe one which works on batteries more portable.. just wish it had a decent back light ..even just one color. Hard to read in low light. The battery one is easier to travel with but the instructions do no indicate how to orient the batteries. The manual refers to the illustration but that lacks any + or – on the diagram. The top of where the battery + or – should be labeled is blank. Watching the video was the only indication of how the batteries go in nor is the device marked. Also the audio read out can be tricky between 113-119 where it clips the end of the word. So one eight teen can sound like …one eight t.The WHO blood pressure chart is much more forgiving than the rigid Heart Assoc one. It does not lump senior users into the general population. I don’t have the same body functions at 77 that a 30 year old has or even an infant. The wrist cuff is a whole lot easier to use than ones with an arm cuff because to do the arm you need two people to get it properly cinched and precisely oriented each time. If you are even slightly off on the arm it can make a difference. The wrist seats better and there is less chance of getting it off point. So far both items seem to work ok.Update… on my rechargeable unit I noticed the insulation cover at the end where you plug it into a charger. (Found one and only one tower at Best Buy which would fit the spec given ) there is fraying where the wire coating meets the plug. It would be nice if they sold replacement cords. Trying to find the exact proper fit is not easily done since the wrong set up might ruin in the unit even if it looks similar … no specs given other than a reference in the owners booklet to a B port.

Easy to operate and I can read the results clearly !
I have a small wrist and I couldn’t find one earlier this year. Today, I checked again with Amazon and they had this one available. I received it in a few days! . It is just what I wanted and needed! I definitely would recommend this blood pressure monitor to my family and friends. Thank you, Linda Holley

I was able to return the device for a full refund with no problems.
The cuff was too small for my wrist so I guessed that the readings wouldn’t be accurate. I took the Oklar with me to my doctor’s appointment. My doctor is petite and tried the cuff. It fit her well, but it was extremely inaccurate for her pressure – reading more than 20 points higher than with her office monitor. I was able to return the device for a full refund with no problems.

Basic – simple but annoying
Basic and simple battery powered device, just what I was looking for to replace a 6 year old one that quit working. Surprised and then perturbed when a series of voice instructions blared out things I already knew – and no way to deactivate the voice guidance. – considering returning as did not see any description that said it had voice instructions.
