A very useful and well-engineered patient-caregiver tone communication device
Packaging is basic and certainly not wasteful. Transmitter and receiver appear to be of high quality. Receiver is a plug-in with minimal functional buttons to memorize. Of course, in a power outage, this plug-in receiver component won’t work. The transmitter has several options for the user – lanyard for bedside rail, foam-adhesive to attach to nearby wall or perhaps bedside table, mounting screws for the wall, etc. (NOT a good idea to put the lanyard around the neck – hazardous and should not be promoted for marketing. Best to get the device with a wrist alert option for the mobile user). I also wonder if the wrist activation device could be sold separately as an add-on without buying a second plug-in receiver. The specs on the website describe alkaline batteries for the transmitter but in fact they are Lithium coin cells. The instruction are pretty good and English is far better than most associated with this Country’s products. Tone is plenty loud and adjustable. Clever musical snippets as well as classic doorbells tones, etc. 40 in all! Time will tell if this serves our purposes completely but at this point I highly recommend it. In time, there should be more reviews to clarify its features and durability. Oh, and you cannot beat the price for all its features! Kudos to the manufacturer.Update: After opening and then closing the transmitter case I was unclear about the type of battery used should I need to replace them. I thought I read CR2023 but there is no such battery size after a thorough review of various replacement brands. The video on the AMZN website on pause showed CR2032 a std size. So, I thought I would simply open and double check, but now the case is firmly locked in place. I checked video on opening and replacing but the reality is that there is an intermediate position upon arrival and appears to be a locked position once the vertical tabs are lined up. I twisted and pushed to no avail. I cannot open the transmitter case the second time. I sent a message to the seller. I may just return and replace but on the replacement plan to fill in the inside case indentation to prevent the same permanent lock next time. If you have the patience and time give it a try. I like its features but I want to be sure my device does have CR2032 lithiums and not CR2023 lithiums or alkalines as the website tech info described. Ray

I was so nervous when my MIL came home from the hospital. She wore this bracelet and she was able to alert us, across the house, that she needed to go “tidy up.”
