Numbers vary a bit too much
If you are planning to simply monitor fluctuations in your readings, this device will work well for that. Easy to use, lancets are fairly painless, and comes with a decent bit of product to keep you going; though I wish it had a bag or container to keep it all in.But if you need to know the exact number for your blood sugar, this is not for you. It varies just enough that it could be a safety concern and I wouldn’t trust my health to a close but not 100% accurate reading.

Small, Easy to Read, Fast Results
This is super easy to use. The results are very quick and it’s designed so anyone can figure it out and use it. I really appreciate the ability to track my blood sugar levels to see how different foods affect them. Overall, this a small, easy-to-use, easy-to-read unit.

    Impossible to insert the batteries!
First Impression: This was my first glucose monitor and I was really looking forward to using it. Unfortunately, even after many tries, I could not open the battery compartment. At first I thought it was just my elder hands but then I saw someone else mention the same problem in their review. So I really cannot say how accurate this monitor is since I could not even insert the batteries. Very disappointing. :(Bottom Line: Sorry to say I cannot really review the accuracy of this monitor since the battery compartment seemed to be fused shut and thus I couldn’t open it to insert the necessary batteries. Even so, it otherwise looks complete so I will give it a 2. For me, it would have been better to get one that didn’t need batteries.

maybe not be as accurate but gives consistent readings
This is a nice glucose monitor which comes with a supply to do 100 tests. If you have used these devices, this one would be similar to others and should be fairly easy to use. The quality of lancets are nice and they don’t hurt. I think at $40 it’s reasonably priced. I am giving it 4 stars because I do see the reading different from my more expensive monitor. Having said that, the readings are consistent and if you are monitoring change this should work well.

    Inaccurate Readings
I check my blood sugar fairly consistently, and while I have a FreeStyle Precision Neo from my doctor, I wanted to try something else to see if I could save on test strips and lancets. So, this product just arrived, and I thought I’d compare the two, with the one from my doctor’s I know is accurate based on its readings and my regular A1C tests. Before I get into that, the kit itself is pretty good. You get 100 lancets and test strips. The lancets are bit on the flimsy side in my opinion, and the test strips aren’t individually sealed, but come in a film canister like case. The glucose reader requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included, and there is a lancet holding device, which took me a moment to figure out how to actually open. So for the price, the kit isn’t bad. So onto the test I did comparing my readers.I used each of the respective lancets, and got to drawing blood and testing out each device with their own test strips in their own readers. The Bioland device (that’s what it says on the packaging for the test strips and the reader–the lancets are branded Hurhong) said my glucose was 268 mg/dL! That was a bit alarming, so I proceeded with my Precision Neo device and it told me my glucose was 122 mg/dL. That is such a huge discrepancy that I can’t recommend this device to anyone who needs to take their blood sugar regularly.

    Questionable accuracy
Great value at $20 for the entire kit, but as others noted, the accuracy is questionable. I get different numbers when doing two tests back to back or when comparing this kit to a different brand.

    good glucose monitor kit
All the necessary components for monitoring blood sugar are included in this CardioVantage blood glucose monitor kit. But there are no batteries included. Once a prescription device, these days anyone may monitor their blood sugar levels to assist keep an eye on their health. This might last nearly three months, depending on how often you test, because there are 100 test strips and 100 lancets. If you test multiple times a day, it will be lower. The results are displayed to you in five seconds and offer an excellent means of tracking and monitoring.

Unfriendly user manual and unimpressive quality
On the first impression, I thought this would be a great value pack. But when I opened up the box and tried to use it, I was in for a rough ride. First of all, the manual is just a lot of information cramped onto one sheet of paper with tiny print. There are a lot of important information I need to learn about how to use the device and the lancet pen properly. But it was tremendously difficult to absorb the info through that manual sheet.I also found the construction of the device’s body is not very high quality. The plastic cover feels flimsy and hard to open for batteries. The lancet pen does not have proper design to help me open the cap up. I struggled to find way to open the cap for installing and removing of the lancet needle.Lastly, there are items that are expected to be there but turn not to be not included: the control solution bottle and the monitor batteries. Overall, a very frustrating and unfriendly user experience.
