Customers say
Customers find the weighted lap pad to be well-crafted with firm stitching and appreciate its calming effects, particularly for children with special needs. The soft material and well-distributed weight make it comfortable, and customers note it’s perfect for classroom use. While some customers find it perfect for a 4-year-old, others mention it’s smaller than expected.

Item is as described
It is a quality lap pad. This is something my daughter has stared using to help her sit still in class. It does the job and it doesn’t stand out as a distraction for the other kids. She likes the softness and the size which folds over her lap with room on either side. She is about 5ft.

Great quality, perfect size for children!
This is great for my 9yo autistic son when he’s dysregulated… he’ll go sit in a quiet space with this lap pad and just rub his hands on the bumpy side to help regulate. It’s great quality too!

Just right!
My students love the weighted lap blanket. It’s cozy, just the right weight and size.

Unconventional Use – but works great for my 70lb dog!
I have several weighted blankets that I’ve used for a couple years. They are extremely soothing. They help me a TON with sleep – and with them, I can fall asleep and wake up many hours later in the same position rather than restlessly tossing and turning all night. SO….my senior golden retriever (13 years old; 70lbs) has a recurring wrist injury. Every time she re-injures it, it’s really hard on her and causes her much distress. This spring she has injured it twice in 3 months! We can manage the pain for her and keep it immobilized while it heals, but for her, we can tell she gets really frustrated with each recurring injury (she can be quite dramatic, good thing we know her so well!). On a whim I purchased this blanket for her. She’s only used it for 3 days so far, but she really (!) likes it! It keeps her still and resting so she can heal. It even helps when we apply ice bc she’s not trying to get up and get the ice off! I can leave the room (usually she would try to follow me which is not good when trying to limit movement) and she is in such a deep slumber that she doesn’t even notice I left for a few minutes. This seems to be a high quality blanket, perfect for a child, or for a large dog!

Very nice
I gave it to my son for Christmas but I’ve used it a lot myself. Very soft and comforting. The perfect weight for a lap.

Great for all children. Not just for SPD and ASD.
I would give this toy five stars if it didn’t set off DHS at the airport! My daughter 2.5 y/o has sensory processing disorder and she absolutely adores this device.Don’t be thrown off by the shape – this dog feels like a real lapdog and has such a pleasant happy face. It helps keep her calm in stressful situations and in normal every day learning situations. She also likes it to relax with and to have near her when she’s going to sleep.Don’t be fooled — this thing is heavy. I think the inside ties that keep the beanbag in place can be improved but otherwise it’s a very well-crafted and well thought out design. I enjoy having the dog sit on my own lap as it brings a calming feeling. She is more likely to sit for her online classes if I let her keep the dog nearby or on her lap. I can see this being helpful for all children — those without sensory processing disorder or ASD. I can see this device being helpful for children who are victims of trauma. I can see this device being helpful for children who are a part of broken families and need to transition between homes. It’s wonderful for children who are beginning school for the first time in person or away from their families, those in need of a hug and a smile to help them through the day. I hope schools allow children to bring these as their ‘service animals’. I would recommend this to others by them as just for others and purchase this again

Great awesome fantastic weighted stuff animal!
I wish that I knew about these products when my kids were growing up. The weighted stuffed animal may have prevented after school melt downs from sensory overload at school! When a child/adult has anxiety, a smooth rock in the pocket works wonders but often the person misplaces or loses the rock. My adult daughter heard about it at orientation for college, which covered alternatives to medication for anxiety/stress. She started off using it after classes then felt comfortable takin it to her college classes. My daughter said other students have asked her about the weighted stuff animal, some have bought it and bring theirs to class ( boys also). This weighted stuffed animal does decrease sensory overload, not a placebo. I use it myself after a stressful day at work and felt calmer. I am sure some people need a heavier product or it doesn’t work. But it is worth a try and if it doesn’t work, return within the limited time.

My daughter decided to try a lap blanket first to see if he liked it before spending on a full blanket
My 2 year old grandson is struggling with sensory issues and one of the things suggested was a weighted blanket to give him comfort. My daughter decided to try a lap blanket first to see if he liked it before spending on a full blanket. He LOVES it! As soon as he had it in his lap, he visibly relaxed and snuggled down. He likes to take it with him, which is another reason she decided to try that size first. They use it at bedtime right now and he is sleeping much better, and they plan to buy a full size blanket for him as well. Thank you for this fabulous product! It’s colorful, the texture is very interesting for him to brush his hands over, and it’s easy for traveling! I’m so very thankful there are quality products that actually work for children like my grandson that will help make his life happier! You have an outstanding product!

I am an adult who suffers with anxiety and other health issues. I’ve tried many ways of coping, but found cuddling something with weight helps the most, for some reason. I’ve tried many different things, including interactive companion pets but none of them had that real feel. I thought I’d try a weighted plush and chose this one as it seemed to be heaviest. When it first came from the awesome carry bag I got a scare, because unrolled it’s square and flat with a little puppy head one end and a tail the other. But I found if you fold it properly it becomes the shape of a lying down puppy and is a lovely size and weight without being too much. The fur is ultra soft, I love the way it feels, that you can wash the cover and the bag which keeps it nice when not in use. I’d recommend this to anyone, child or adult, to help with sensory disorder or anxiety of any kind. One thing though, picking it up by the ear or tail is not a good idea, any stitching, however strong, will come undone with such a heavy object and it’s unfair to mark it down because of that.

I bought this for myself and I love it. It is very grounding and calming to wear this on my lap when I sit to read and relax in the evening, and I find it also helps the discomfort of my arthritic knees. It is very well made and I love the fabric it is made of, lovely soft texture and a beautiful deep blue colour. I checked out a lot of lap pads and this is the nicest one I saw. At 5 pounds, it is right for me as an adult and would be good for an older child or teen. It might be a bit too heavy for a young child (5 or younger). My granddaughter is 18 months and she has a 2-pound lap pad which is about the right weight for her.

I love this product- the outside is so soft and cute whilst the inside is heavy enough to feel safe and comforted. It is really well made and good quality. The inside can easily be taken out so that the outside can be washed without it being heavy. Customer service is excellent too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this item.

I use this weighted lap pad as part of my daily sensory regulation, and it has made a huge difference in helping me feel calm, grounded, and safe. I’m neurodivergent and rely on sensory tools like this for emotional balance, especially during overstimulation or transition times. The texture is soft and soothing, the weight is evenly distributed, and it’s the perfect size for across the lap, shoulders, or even curled up with during quiet time. It gives just the right amount of pressure without being overwhelming. If you or someone you love is autistic, ADHD, or sensory-sensitive, I deeply recommend this. It’s not just for kids—it’s for anyone who needs a gentle anchor in a busy world. 💙
