Big enough to cover entire shoulder, works great! Especially for post surgery!
This ice pack is amazing! I’ve had multiple shoulder surgeries and previously used the cold water pack and ice bucket the doctors say to purchase every time. Filling the bucket with ice, wrapping yourself in that Velcro madness of an ice pack contraption, and then hooking the bucket to the ice pack is a royal pain in the butt. Especially if you have to do it yourself, one handed. To make matters worse, the water pack doesn’t get below 32 F (0 C), and it warms up in about 10-15 minutes. My most recent surgeon told me to avoid that and just purchase ice packs (He’s also one of the nation’s top surgeons and is fixing what other doctor’s missed on my previous surgeries). This ice pack is foldable, and fits easily in your freezer. It takes a few hours to get cold initially, but that’s a given for any ice pack. When it’s time to ice, it still remains flexible while remaining extremely cold, and slips easily into the provided fabric sleeve which protects your skin and the furniture you sit on. The instructions say to cover your skin with a towel, but I apply it directly. The ice pack can be manipulated fairly well and I’m able to conform it to contact 90% of the skin on my shoulder. The sleeve has Velcro straps for a more secure fit, but I don’t even bother with that, as the ice pack is large enough cover my entire shoulder (front and back) and conforms to it easily. I simply sit on the couch with my back against the cushion, or prop myself lying down and it stays in place the entire time. Even after 30 minutes of icing the ice pack is still cold, and I don’t have to worry about dripping water or anything leaking. This is an amazing product, especially for the price! It’s a must have for any athlete, person who just had surgery, or someone who works out. If you’re having surgery and your doctor tells you to buy the “Cold therapy machine” aka ice bucket, PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT INSTEAD AND DO NOT BUY THAT EVIL CONTRAPTION (even if your doctor insists)!

I ordered this for my husband who has inflammation in his upper arm and thigh following a fall. His doctor recommended treating with a heating pad three times a day. Our traditional heating pad worked okay for the thigh but wouldn’t stay in place on his upper arm without holding it the whole time. We saw a few online that were more fitted for the shoulder and were in the $40 price range because they were electric. That was another problem too, since the cord always got in the way and kept him stationary near an outlet.What we liked about this was that it was NOT electric but has a gel pad that can be heated in the microwave for heat OR cooled in the fridge or freezer if that was needed. It offered two treatment methods in one and was less than half the price of the electric ones. The Velcro strips that old it in place give the rectangular pad more options for use on different parts of the body and for different sized people. The only criticism is that the Velcro strip for wrapping around the body (as pictured) might be too short for a comfortable fit around a large person. My husband is 5’6″ and 160 pounds, and if the strip were any shorter, it would probably be too tight on him. He has only used this for heat so far, but the gel pack holds the heat for the full 15 minutes that he is to use each time, so he is pleased with this. I think it is a great alternative to electric heating pads.

Great item
These work great and stay cold for a LONG time.its very nice, and they fit rite into any freezer, super thin gel packs.ONLY thing that should be noted is that you can not walk around when wearing these.You need to just sit down or lay down and use them. they fit nice and snug which is good. keeps the cold pack against your skin, but if you try to walk in them you will ruin the Velcro.I do love these. also use them on my elbows when needed, but they are GREAT for knees

This is the best knee brace I have ever used in the leave me I have used in enormous number of them over the years. If you were one of those people who hates to ice, get this wrap. The ice pack it holds its temperature for a long time and freezes very quickly. The best part about it is that you can wear the knee brace while you are icing so you get the benefit of the support from the brace plus the icing benefits. You can Comfortably sit while you ice. Even better the same packet can be thrown in the microwave for heat therapy. I’ve had this one a few days and I’ve already ordered a second one!

Doesn’t get very cold
I’ve used a lot of ice packs and this one doesn’t get very cold. Within about 10 minutes, it’s basically the same temperature as a refrigerator. I like the design and it’s easy to use, but I don’t think it achieves a temperature that will truly help.

Works great to hold ice on your knee
Great for holding ice on your knee…Very good quality; made very well. Comes with an ice pack to hold in it.The Velcro on each end is wide and very strong holding. The size around from the straps is about 21″. The part of my leg above the knee is 23″. The straps do stretch, and I have no problem getting mine stretched to fit.I have even worn mine without the ice pack if I just wanted support.I would definitely recommend it to everyone for their knees.
