Customers say
Customers find the magnifying glass works well for reading books and appreciate its brightness and lightweight design. Moreover, the functionality receives positive feedback, with one customer mentioning it works well for their 97-year-old mother. However, the clarity and magnification receive mixed reviews – while some customers can read clearly, others find the words blurry, and while some say the magnification works well, others report it doesn’t magnify effectively. Additionally, the build quality receives negative feedback, with customers describing it as flimsy.

Works great
Works great. Magnifying glass does bring the words up big. Bright light.

Very usable for reading books
Just had cataract surgery and close vision is not good. Bought it to read books. Made of plastic but with care should last. Cable fits around neck and is very adjustable for your reading position and holds magnifier steady using the supplied stiff cable. I like the ability to charge but don’t like the fact that batteries are not accessible. Light adjusted brightness by a wheel that is plastic and unsure how long that will last. Works for my needs. Glad to give it a try. Will work fine for my needs.

The Price is Right, but…
This is a nice magnifier. The LED lights are wonderful. It’s lightweight to hold and maneuvering is easy for reading. Two things that a potential purchaser might keep in mind: 1) It seems to use up the three AAA batteries quickly: within a week–at least for me. So I keep a good supply of batteries on hand; and 2) The on/off switch wears out. My magnifier lasts about a year and then I find it necessary to purchase another one due to the malfunctioning of the switch. However, the inexpensive price of this device makes that a “no-big-deal”. I do wish the switch was a bit sturdier. I’ve had three of these over the years and am about ready to purchase a fourth. They have been handy and useful–especially when I travel.

NOT A CLEAR VIEW
The only good thing about this is its magnification. I bought it to travel and use at work when i am doing my beading . The view is a milky hue to it . ,Its not clear The lighting is not adjustable , Just on then off it said it was adjustable ,I am out of 20 bucks i am glad i did not pay more.

Works great but isn’t durable.
I really like this lighted magnifier. I use it to do diamond art painting and it works great. It gets very bright, it’s very easy to use (does take a minute to adjust for comfort), it’s not heavy, and the 5x magnification works great.However…..the connection between battery and light has gotten wonky. I have to play with the dial for it to find the brightest setting….which can flicker in and out. Very disappointing. Also, the usb connection has become loose and wiggles.I bought a second one from another manufacturer hoping for different results; same thing. These are NOT durable at all.BUT they work great when they work!!

It might look strange, but it certainly fulfills it purpose
How to have easy lighted desk magnification and also lighted magnification while reading, this strange design fits the bill. It is light enough to wear around your neck so that you can read fine print without straining. Now I can read regular books again, and, read microscopic instructions you often get for any device you purchased. I bought two of them.

Great idea
Got this for my mother and helped her get it set up. Really nice. Objects magnified have low/no distortion, and the loop for around neck is soft and easily moldable to fit any contour, right weight too Nice set up and magnifier is perfect distance out front.

After much work light comes on, after much work am able to re-position the screen to somewhat view.
BUYER BEWARE!!I do not like the screen/ “glass”!! It has MANY small “ridges”/ lines going thru the entire area in a circular pattern!! PRIOR TO PURCHASE I WAS VERY CAREFUL TO READ ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE PRODUCT AND SAW NOTHING ABOUT THOSE “RIDGES”!! This is information which should be made available to customers!!! It affects the viewing!!! Apparently the “ridges” are common in lesser quality products. If I had known I would not have purchased this product!!!Also, as typical of poor foreign construction, I could not get the batteries in!! I pushed and pushed. Finally after much effort I got them in all the way. Am afraid I will not be able to get them out for replacement – EVER!! So, if I don’t return this item it will be of short term use only.
