Not a good choice for an unsteady patient or Elder.
My Wife broke her ankle and could put no pressure on that leg. As a result for several weeks our house had to become wheelchair and patient accessible. This device is very basic. I found it far too unsteady for a person who is themself already unsteady. With some simple items from the hardware store I was able to add a cross race that runs in front of the toilet which solved the “wiggly” problem. I was trying to keep cost(s) low. Another issue is that the bracket that attaches the unit to your toilet does not work well with the modern seat hinge styles that have the “covers” that snap over the retaining bolts. I found it to work best if simply set atop the toilet almost like a Walker. The product is what it is. I would advise spending a little more and buy a model with more support structure. You can see the added piece in the pic.

Safe, Sturdy, Recommended
Bought this for my mama and now her and I both feel at ease when she goes to the bathroom by herself. It’s very sturdy! Definitely worth the money! It was very easy to put together. It looks exactly as pictured. I take care of her and use it myself and I found that the stability of it is much more than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised and I love that she feels more safe instead of being scared that she might fall so I gotta give this 5 ⭐️ and a big 👍up!!! I will definitely recommend and I’ll definitely buy from them in the future!!!

Flimsy – cheap material – low quality
It is made of very thin aluminum which makes it not very sturdy. Cheaply made. If you need it for long term use, get something better made of higher quality.I do not recommend this product.

Useful safety rail.
This was exactly what I needed after foot surgery. Installation was easy, but we did have to replace the screws in the toilet seat to secure it with metal screws when the plastic screws kept falling out. But once that was done, it works great, and I will not remove the bars. Even my 3-year-old grandson uses the bars when he climbs on the toilet.
