I love that it is bigger for the hip area, but I feel like it takes a long time to freeze all the way through. It definitely was used on a regular basis for the first 2 weeks or so after my hip replacement surgery. I had to alternate between this and frozen vegetables, though, because it took too long to freeze inbetween treatment times.

So Comfortable for post opp
I was having some pain/inflammation issues after surgery on my lung. I didn’t get this until a week or two post opp and I wish I would have gotten it sooner. So much easier and more comfortable to wrap around the waist than strapping on a hard ice pack.

Just Okay
When I first received this cooling/heating pack I thought this would be a good review. I put the pack in the freezer and it froze well. The pack is flexible, it has a soft side that would be comfortable and it looked easy to use. Well easy to use until you find out that the instructions were not included. Without instructions I would be leery of using the heating instructions. I went back to the listing to see if the information could be found and if it was there I could not find it. I did, however, find a screenshot of another reviewer. Now I will have to find someone to screenshot and print it out for me or rely on it being there indefinitely. It would also be easier to read in the original format. Another point is the length of the strap itself. Bodies come in a variety of shapes and sizes. I think that this strap would not be long enough for some people especially across the hip. It just barely made it for me. If you want the soft side next to your skin the strap has to fold underneath next to your skin and this is more difficult to do and less comfortable. In general the functionality of the pack without instructions is dramatically reduced and the strap is also an issue.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly for icing my hip and my shoulders. Definitely recommend and it stays cold for a long time.
