⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Doorbell Camera — Better Than Ring!
The Tapo TP Smart Link Doorbell Camera has exceeded my expectations! The picture quality is crystal clear, even at night, and the battery life is excellent — it lasts way longer than I expected. Setup was quick and easy, and the app works great. Honestly, this is the best option out there instead of a Ring camera. Great value and performance all around!

Trustworty Product
I”m very happy with Tapo doorbell. The camera is very clear. Easy to instal and maintenance. I like the option that I get to use cloud storage wirh montly subscription or internal storage. I’m happy without subscription service. I’ve had no issues with i and would definitely recommend it.

Better than Google or Blink. I have tried both and can say Tapo is the best.
Goodbye Google Nest!! Goodbye Blink!! All you subscription based cameras, goodbye! My entire home is TP Link powered now! Kasa/Tapo/TP link is so cost effective i have 4 cameras & now 1 doorbell camera from Tapo and not one single paid subscription! Saves me $10 or more a month!Love it. Love the fact that i dont have to pay a subscription and i can get 24/7 recording + unlimited motion alerts / events. Just buy a micro SD card. 1 time purchase and u use forever. No need to pay for cloud storage or whatever else! The wide angle is so much better than the whole video area of my old Google Nest & Blink doorbell cameras! This even has a video call option to make the doorbell video call once pressed (that shocked me the first time it happened 😂)I bought a separate mount for this bec i needed a bigger angle but the doorbell comes w 2 mounts alreadyEasy to install!I made it wired by using a 24V transformer. Installed everything in less than 1 hour and i’m not a handy woman i have no idea how to install stuff!

What a great price for a powerhouse of a doorbell camera!
Honestly low key Impressed. Picture clarity is pretty damn good. People detection lags just a tiny bit but not nearly enough for an uproar. Great price for so many different features. Remote viewing has tiny lags too but works great. Battery life is impressive af. I don’t think that even this platforms own doorbell camera compares. If you’re looking for a good price on a pretty decent doorbell camera this right here is it!

Excellent Video Doorbell with an unmatched battery life!
I’ve replaced my Ring Doorbell with TP-Link D225 to eliminate paying for Ring subscription services. I should have known that it is a superior product just because of the TP-Link brand although I didn’t realize how superior until it was completely installed. It’s a much more sold construction and heavier, super easy to set up, connected to the internet very quickly & strongly. Everything required for installation is included with the doorbell giving you the option of using a slight downward wedge, wedge to the side or just a flat, no wedge mount. I chose the slight downward to allow for easier viewing of packages and found that it still provides plenty of upward space to include complete tall people and higher. The battery is stated to hold charge for approx. 8 months! We’ll see, it does have a larger battery than any other doorbell I researched (including TP-Link’s battery only model). The D225 also provides the option of wiring the unit without the continuous need for the battery. An SD card slot will also receive a 512GB SD card (sold separately) so I always have access to the video. Once connected with Alexa, notifications come through loud and clear when motion is detected at the doorbell. Notifications are also available via messages. The only downside I find is that, when the battery needs recharging, the entire doorbell needs to be brought into the house for charging. The battery inside the doorbell can not be removed. Although, the doorbell is easily released from the mount which makes it easier. All and all, I’m very pleased with the quality of the unit & the quality of the videos that it provides. They are easily downloaded onto your phone & sent to others. The mounting instructions stated to try and keep the unite from direct sun. That was impossible for me, as the early morning sun shines right onto my front door (later NO sun) although once mounted with the downward wedge, I found that there is NO problem with the sun shining right into the lens. TP-Links quality name has shown to be accurate for the D225 as it is with many of their other products. I highly recommend this doorbell. It’s a bit of an initial investment but pays off over time due to NOT needing a subscription to view your videos from anywhere.

Should have bought this first!
So I had a Blink system before this, which I would recommend you stay away from, and just buy this. Without writing a couple of paragraphs on why I hate the Blink system, we’ll try to go over the finer points of the Tapo…I am not utilizing all the features of this cam yet, because the power to my apartment doorbell is dead. Hopefully maintenance can get that fixed so I can have power. But even without, I am impressed so far.Setting motion detection zones is unbelievably precise once you figure it out, and you can tell different zones to alert to different types of motion if you like. Recorded clips actually start from the moment motion occurs in the set zone, the blink cam would show people walking away from my door, sometimes it didn’t catch them at all. It so far doesn’t alert me to anything it shouldn’t, aside from a hilarious pet detection situation. I have a cat statue on my porch that it was continuously recording as pet motion, so I turned off pet detection and it stopped.Setup is pretty straight forward, no more complicated than anything else. The camera communicates directly with wifi, no need for a connection module (that doesn’t work). I hard wired to my doorbell, and it alerted me that there was no power. I checked the wires, and sure enough there is no power. That explains why I’ve never heard my doorbell in this apartment. Still operating on battery power, just not able to use features like preroll or continuous recording. So far, I have nothing to complain about. I will definitely update if I do.
