Works as advertised–as long as you have good circulation to your hands
I bought this ahead of a big surgery, I knew I would be on pain meds at home which is unusual for me so I wanted to be able to keep track of my oxygen level. When I first got the machine and tried it out (prior to surgery) it kept giving me erroneous readings on all of my fingers.. telling me my sat was in the low 80s and my heartrate was high (it wasn’t). I put it on a toe and even through my toenail polish it worked much better than on my fingers (correct HR reading and sat high 90s). I have no idea why it wouldn’t work on my fingers. A few days later I tried it again and then it worked fine on my fingers. Now today, it works on some fingers and some not… So… perhaps this says more about how good of circulation I have to my fingers than it does say anything about the machine.. but I never have trouble getting a reading on my fingers when I’m at work (I’m a nurse) so it seems strange that this machine has some trouble getting a reading on my un-polished, non-smoker’s, fingers.. All that said, when it works, it works fine, and I have appreciated having it now that I’ve had surgery. I like that you can set the alarm limits or turn off the alarm sound. I also like that it comes in it’s own little case and that batteries were included. I also like that I can see a graphic representation of the heart beats so I can tell when a reading is erroneous (no good waveform) or when it’s correct (a normal waveform)

Do not buy!
It was very cheaply made and I just about cracked it trying to put the batteries in it.Don’t waste your time or money.
