Easy Setup and Stable
I originally purchased another brand because they specifically advertised a sunrise/sunset programming function; when that one didn’t do what it was supposed to do I returned them and purchased the Tapo plugs. These work great and each plug can be set to turn on or turn off at sunrise and at sunset; both with offsets by the hour or minute. I now have one set to turn on plant lights 30 minutes after sunrise, and another set to turn on patio lights 45 minutes before sunset, for example. Both (that I’m using so far) were easy to set up in about 3 minutes each and the Tapo app is pretty much the same as every smart home app; it’s easy to organize devices and even easier to set up schedules or to manually control devices. I’ve had trouble in the past with smart plugs that couldn’t handle much amperage; these can handle a full 15 amps while most cannot. At about $5 each in a four pack, these were a great value for a trusted brand. So far, the wifi connectivity has been strong and stable with my devices both within 25 feet of the router; sometimes it is necessary to add a range extender near devices such as this due to their need to be on a wall near wiring that often interferes with wifi signals. I highly recommend this product.

Affordable Smart Home Upgrade
These smart plugs are awesome. Tiny, reliable, and perfect for automating lights, fans, or even Christmas decorations. They respond instantly to Alexa/Google commands, and the scheduling/timer options make life feel just a little more futuristic. What I love most is how unobtrusive they are—no bulky design, no heat issues, just clean performance in a small package. For the price, it’s one of the easiest ways to dip your toes into smart home gadgets. Highly recommend if you want convenience without complication.

Reliable, Feature-Packed Smart Plugs at a Great Price
I’ve had great experiences with TP-Link products, and the Tapo Smart Plug Mini is no exception. This 4-pack offers excellent value, and setup was incredibly easy. As always, no hub required and everything runs smoothly on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.What really impressed me is how feature-rich these plugs are:Scheduling and timers work perfectly for managing lights and small appliances.Runtime stats give insight into power usage, which is helpful for monitoring high-use devices.Away mode and smart actions add security and automation.Alexa and Google Home integration is seamless—I’ve had no issues controlling devices with voice commands. These devices pay for themselves when you calculate the cost savings they provide leveraging the scheduling features. They also have great range—I have one running in the attic and another outside in a dry box controlling flood lights, and both maintain strong, stable connections.Overall, these are smart, dependable, and thoughtfully designed. I highly recommend this 4-pack for anyone starting or expanding a smart home setup.

Does what you want
Does what you want.I bought it because of the dimmer button you can mount to the wall. It functions. Not great, but good enough. The setup is pretty easy, eventually.I akways have to do tge setup twice. Deleting the device in between. And, sometimes after you get it working, it disappears and you get to do it again.Connecting to Alexa isn’t too bad. Once you get it stable. But worth the price overall

Easy to install, works with Alexa, works as described.
Easy to set up, works with Alexa, does the job I need it to do.I love that these were easy to set up. I bought these to replace several smart plugs that no longer seemed to be working. When setting them up, you do need to install the app that goes with these plugs but once you do that, you can link it to your Alexa and they will work with Alexa commands. At first this kind of annoyed me but in the end it took only a minute or 2 for Alexa to link to the app so it worked out in the end.

A worthy alternative
These Tapo smart plugs work perfectly and are more compact and cheaper than Amazon’s, hence “minis”. I haven’t had any issues with them since activating them nearly six months ago.

Great quick responding little smart plugs
I was using Belking WEMO’s and they worked great when I got them. But due to increasing issues with them, like very slow response or no response at all, I decide to make a switch and try these. I know TP-Link is a good brand and very happy I did. They are compact, respond quickly and the phone app is great. Very happy and would highly recommend. Just so you know I only use these for lights so I can’t comment on turning on other devices. But I don’t see why that would be a problem. Price is great and you get 4 of them. Almost forgot.. they work great with Alexa

Tapo branded products are some of the best in the consumer market these days. Their price point is pretty good for multiple purchase to cover the various areas of the home. The plug itself is simple to use, basically a plug-and-play for the device and a simple installation of the app from the App store. The plug is also small and non-invasive, so it doesn’t take too much space on the wall outlet, compared to other plug-in switches. The app itself is simple to use to turn on and off the plug on-demand, or you can set timers and schedules for automation. Since this is a Tapo, the app can control other Tapo products like cameras and fixed-in light switches, which makes it simply an all-in-one control center.
