This little board will give new life to old ATX power supplies
I got this board to mate with a small ITX power supply. I like that is neatly provides fixed separate rails for 3.3, 5.0 and 12 volts, as well as an adjustable output from 1.8 to 10.7 volts. The board did not arrive with instructions or specifications, particularly the current limitations of each output, This unit will work with both 20 and 24 pin ATX connectors, but in my case I had a 24 pin (20+4) connector. Operation is simple – hook up the 24 pin connector to the ATX power supply 24 pin power cable, add power and now you have a neat bench power supply. Blue LEDs indicate standby and active on power, as well as the fixed voltage outputs. I measured 3.4 volts on the 3.3 rail, 5.14 on the 5 volt rails, and 12.7 volts on the 12 volt rail – all within spec. The adjustable output can be varied from as low as 1.8 volts to 10.7 volts. I measured the voltage with my DMM, and it agreed with the on board LED readout. This board is well constructed and has sturdy, protective acrylic panels for the front and back for use on the bench top. I particularly like the adjustable output. The output connectors are made for banana jack plugs, which is fine for my purposes.

OK depending on your connectivity requirements
Review of ATX Power Supply Breakout Board, for STM32 MCU:This board is a quick and easy way to reuse an ATX power supply as a workbench power supply or for a specific project that needs 12V, 5V, 3.3V or something between 10.4 and 1.8V at a low current.Beware that the output connections on this are all banana type and not screw terminals. There is a USB-A connector also. It would have been nice to have the terminals that double as both banana and screw terminals. The adjustable voltage output ranges from about 1.8 to 10.4V and is derived from the 12V from the ATX supply, but there are a couple of issues:1. The adjustment potentiometer has detent positions and is not linear in the voltage adjustment range. For example the last “click” of the range goes from about 5V to 10.4V so if you need something in-between you have to fiddle it to hold outside of the detent position.2. There is no information about how much current can safely be drawn from the adjustable output. Not much I would assume.Blue status LEDs for each voltage output and for the ATX standby power on states. The LED voltage indicator shows the adjustable voltage output.Acrylic case is nice and helps prevents you from accidentally shorting out something on your workbench. There are no fuses on this board. No information provided in the box. Literally just the board. No support information whatsoever.
