Probably my favorite Homekit 3 way switch
Probably the best 3 way switch I have used that works with Apple Homekit. Mind you I haven’t ever used the most popular branded HomeKit switch brand made by Lutron. But for someone who wants two physical switches that can be placed in a 3 way circuit, I don’t think you can find a better option. You do have to be mindful of the instructions explaining how to wire the switches up depending on how the line/load wires come into the switch boxes. It’s incredibly easy to install though, and the dimmer function is also fantastic. I first connected everything up and immediately tried out the dimmer to find that my lights only worked for the first 4 or 5 dimming settings while the rest did nothing. I was a little bummed but figured I could work around that, and then when I went to set up the switch in the app it actually had a section specifically for configuring the dimmers to work with your specific lights by calibrating them. After doing that everything works perfectly!I only have 1 3 way circuit in my house, but if I had more, I wouldn’t hesitate to simply purchase these for those areas too. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly encourage others to give this a shot.

Definitely worth the price
These work perfectly, most homes have a neutral wire so the installation should be pretty easy. They also integrate with my smartphone “Hubitat” using the TAPO integration.

Good Product but not Simple Replacement for 3-way light switches
3-way dimmer switch works well enough, though it sometimes activates the dimmer function which makes CFL lights flicker. And it’s important to get the master switch on the right circuit and the secondary switch on the other one–otherwise this switch just doesn’t work. With more clarity on these two items (which took time to figure out initially) this is a 5-star product.

Simple, easy setup, works perfectly
Excellent simple product. Easy to understand and follow included instructions.I setup using Matter w/ Google Home – did not use Tapo app. Works perfectly with Google Home Assistant. The dim on/off is a welcomed experience.Using as 3way for dimmable kitchen track light.

Smart 3-way Dimmer Control From Either Switch
The Tapo smart 3-way Dimmer switch pair is a nice combination / solution that I am happy to see / use.I replaced a (failed) single smart switch/dimmer solution with this one and I am much happier with the functionality. The Tapo solution allows the dimmer control from either switch instead of only one.The previous product would sometimes end up very low/dim and you would have to navigate the stairs in very low light.

Good But Bad Details and Poor Marketing Communication Create Frustrations
Be careful when buying this product. You can not use this product to replace your 3-way switches in a 4-way setup. You can use its counter part the “S515” without the “D” in the name, for dimmer. I don’t like the fact that you have to install both switches ( the main and remote) at the same time. I get it from a dimming perspective but the basic setup should allow for you to install the first one, check the wiring, not have dimmin,g then install the second one, check the wiring, and have dimming.I found the calibration process via the app to be misleading and unclear. The dimming animation was suggesting it was testing when it wasn’t.I love that it does power monitoring and has control for how to handle lost of power.I like that the Tapo app brought in my existing TP-Link products, but I don’t like that they have multiple apps and should just standardize to one app.The price was good, so I would consider this product again. It is less than half the price of my Lutron Caseta switches and offers more functionality.

Great product and value!
Item was exactly as described. Extremely easy to set up and program using their application. Works flawlessly with Amazon’s Echo devices. Only been using for a few days but so far no unexpected turn on or off’s. Was a great upgrade from my 30 year old X10 system.

This switch is ok….but it only handles up to 300W [incandescent]If you are putting a chandelier on this switch it may not work.Be sure to check the wattage on the circuit that you are planning on installing this on before you spend your time installing it. It has power monitoring built in, and if it draws more than 300w it will automatically shut off after a few minutes. The old version (Kasa 210 has a higher wattage limit [600w] but does not have a dimming function).
