wow! it works great.
Finally had a chance to use it and wow! it works great. I was very skeptical when my sister-in-law recommended it but decided to take her advice and I’m really glad I did. It’s easy to use and it’s not to big/not to small. It really takes the pressure off me when I’m trying to turn the lid on a new jar and my arthritis is acting up.

Great Tool for Tight Lids with less Cursing
A fantastic tool to help “pop” the lid slightly to get air inside the sealed jar. After “popping” the lid slightly, the lid easily opens. This helps reduce strained muscles and a lot of cursing. Should have gotten this a lot sooner and now sits happily in our kitchen drawer.

Opens Jars Easily
A step up from using a butter knife! So far it’s worked on every stuck jar it’s been tried on. It’s red so it also calls itself out in the drawer of kitchen gadgets to it’s easy to find even though it’s pretty small. It’s made of dense plastic, but seems sturdy enough.

now that bed bath beyond has gone bankrupt, can’t find these at retailers anywhere ☹️. it’s been a lifesaver and works like a dream, but it is plastic after all and one good yank in slightly the wrong place and the catch piece will break. and it’s ridiculously expensive for a small piece of molded mass produced plastic.

If you have a vacuum sealed jar, this device will save you much effort by releasing the vacuum. Then the jar will be easy to open

I originally purchased one of these after breaking my wrist and not being able to get into jars – a simple tool but amazing – works perfectly. Then my father who has arthritis tried it and was really impressed – so he’ll be getting one for Christmas as well. Definitely recommend!

I had hoped it would open my blueberry jam jars from France but nothing happened. The jar openerjust slipped off the surface not just once but every time I tried to open up the jar lid.The pressurized lid from these jars is extremely tough and the surface is extremely slippery.I finally went to the tool kit and got out the giant V-grip wrench.That did the trick!
