This belt did exactly what we needed for my father. It was easy to keep him steady while walking/transferring between his bed and chair. The handles made it easy to use, and did not hurt our hands.

I suffer w/a herniated disk and am awaiting surgery. I think this belt would be more useful for someone w/chronic back or hip pain. It firmly supports that area but inconvenient for using the bathroom. It didn’t help reduce the pain for me. It might be useful after my surgery while I’m healing.
