Fairly sturdy sling
As an IHSS worker, this sling comes in handy when adjusting the position of my patient, the quality of the sling is pretty good, and I have had no doubt that it is competent enough to keep my patient safe for many uses ahead. I will also note, the extra strap included doesn’t feel absolutely necessay to use this sling, but may help some people.

As our son gets older, this support device will become more & more valuable in helping us manage the immobility that comes with his disability. I wish we would have thought of something like this when our father was in respite care at home, as it would have made maneuvering him that much more manageable at the time.The material of this brace is both thick and comfortable, and the padding has reinforced stitching going diagonally from one edge to the other. The foam handles are very easy on the hands as well, even when dealing with heavier weights.However, I did find the included cross-body strap to be somewhat uncomfortable around the neck/shoulder area after prolonged use. The strength of the material itself is just fine, but the edges of the strap do tend to start digging into your skin in the same way that a heavy backpack would. Again, this all depends on the weight of the person you are helping and how often you need to help them up.That aside, I am still very thankful that niche products like this exist for caregivers helping with assisted living. The asking price is about on par what I would expect to pay for medical brace such as this, and I do believe that you’re getting the well made product that you’re paying for.
