Vine Reviewer –
Arrived Fully Assembled- Very Compact
When I took this out of the box, I was super impressed with the fact that i was already assembled. I think this is the first item of this nature that I’ve ever reviewed through Vine that arrived “ready to go.”The make and materials of this wheelchair are good quality. Everything is very sturdy and the wheelchair rolls very smoothly and silently. The best part of this wheelchair is how compact it is. It folds up into a very small space so it would be able to fit easily in a compact car or somewhere else. However, because of its compact nature it is not suitable for very large people, either people who are very obese or who are very tall. This wheelchair is not really what I consider to be a long term permanent wheel chair. But it is a great one for travel or for those who occasionally have elderly guests. The portability and compactness and quality of build make this a 5 star product in my opinion. For people who need those features in a wheelchair, this one should work perfect.

On the small side.
This is a nice chair, but it is on the small side. My dad is 5’11”, 170lbs and looks like a giant in it. Other than that, it’s great👍.

Adult wheelchair if the adult is under 4 feet tall
I have mixed feeling about this “elderly and adult” folding wheel chair. The chair comes fully assembled in a box. The only thing I had to do was take it out of the bag and remove 3 or 4 tubes of styrofoam that comes preattached. It opens up super fast and is self explanatory when opening it up. It is super lightweight and feels quite sturdy. Keep in mind this is basically a stroller. The wheels are perfect for rolling over tile or laminate. I do not have any carpet in my home so could not try that out.It is very small. I have a 7yo boy that right about 4 feet tall and he fits perfectly in it. If he leans all the way back, the real brake bar is against his neck but it would still work great for him if he couldnt walk and I had to move him around. I am 6’3″. I sat in the chair and its fine for short distances as long as I do not sit back against the seat. If I do, that bar sits forward from the back of the seat and jabs into my back quite uncomfortably. I am uploading pictures. The seat back is almost exactly “3 soda cans” high. It is also the perfect hieght for my 4 foot tall child. Anyone with a taller torso is probably going to be quite uncomfortable in this chair. It does have a foldable foot rest, and even at my height, the foot rest was quite adequate. I will keep this chair around in case anyone in the family is unable to walk (I broke my hip last year and this would have been great to have for moving me around short distances).I had planned to use this chair for my elderly mother in law, as she has issues walking sometimes and have a wheel chair would be great for holiday trips and mall trips etc, but this will not work for her. She is over 4 feet tall and using this chair for more than a few minutes at a time is not practical. This chair is made for children not adults. I could still use it to move her from the door to the car, but that is about it.This issue could readily be solved by making thr back rest about 3″ taller and adding a spacer so the brake is behind the back of the seat instead of protruding in front of it. I will see if I can make the fix at home and if so, I will upload pictures.Overall, I do NOT recommend this folding wheelchair for adult use. Perfect for children, not for adults.I gave this product 3 stars because it is very stable, sturdy, and light weight. It is a quality product, but just not for adults in its current state.

An excellent transport chair
This transport chair has a lot going for it. There is no assembly, just take it out of the box. It has fold away arms as well as the footrest. It also has a seat belt to hold the patient in. The frame has some kind of carbon fiber look to it but it’s metal and lightweight. Down by the rear wheels there is a red catch on each side that you unclip to fold the chair. When folded it folds up to 6 inches thick. It also comes with the storage bag that feels like ballistic nylon. When you squeeze the brake all the way the wheels will lock and there’s a red pin you have to pull out to unlock it by the handle. The brakes were perfect and there was no adjustment necessary. The seat and back are lightly padded but if a person wants to sit in all day I would recommend getting them a gel cushion. If you or loved one can’t walk around I highly recommend this chair because it’s a life changer. This is an excellent transport chair and I can’t find a negative thing to say about it. This is a chair that I would recommend to friends or family without hesitation.

A very nice folding wheelchair.
When I took this ‘Ontrip Wheelchair’ out of the box it shipped in, it was folded up – as you might expect. Unfolding it was quick, intuitive, and easy. And there was no product assembly required, which was unexpected. All I had to do was remove a little bit of protective packaging materials and it was ready to roll. And the wheelchair feels very sturdy and well built. On this product listing page it states that ‘it is recommended for people under 5 feet 8 inches in height or under 200 pounds in weight’. And I think that is a fair assessment of its capabilities. The chair has a few issues, but I wouldn’t consider them major negatives. The seat doesn’t have a lot of padding, but that could easily be remedied by using a cushion. The handbrake bar has a bit of padding, but the person sitting in the wheelchair might find it uncomfortable to lean their back against it. A back cushion might help there as well, though. If you squeeze the break bar using the bar above it as leverage, you can easily engage the breaks. But if you want to engage the break lock you have to squeeze the break bar quite hard to engage a spring-loaded locking pin. And that might be difficult for some people to do. Pulling the pin to disengage the break lock works well enough, though. And the last negative is that although the wheelchair is easy to push on a hard flat surface like tile, it is noticeably more difficult to push on even a low pile carpet. So on some rough surfaces it might be difficult to push this chair. But all in all I really like this wheelchair and I would recommend it.
