Fun game, cheap bag
Good quality magnets and a fun game. The bag that holds the pieces is a cheap plastic though. Seems kinda cheap for the price of the set.

2-player game in 2 versions, one more complex than the other. This is the more complex hex pc ver.
2 player game can be played on desktop, Kitchen or dining table, countertop, airplane fold down tray, etcInstructions:20 × game magnet1 × rope1 × storage bag1 × game instructionsHow to play:Two players each have 10 magnetic chess pieces. An area is circled with a rope. The two players take turns placing pieces in the area. If the pieces are “sucked away” from one player’s pieces, that player must retrieve them. The first one with no more pieces in hand wins! The game comes in 2 versions, one with flat cylindrical pieces, the other with hex shaped pieces – the result is different levels of difficulty/strategy. The simpler is the ‘coin’ version. The one that offers more complex strategies is the hex ‘on edge’ version. This one is the complex hex piece version. Here are the resulting differences:Flat “Checker-Style” Version (Cylindrical magnets):Form factor: round, coin-shaped magnets – typically polarized through the flat faces (N on one flat face, S on the other).Gameplay behavior:The only orientation that matters is which side is up, but since most people play with them lying flat, both poles interact symmetrically with the field plane. That means you mostly control position and spacing – not orientation.Strategy centers on physical placement skill: minimizing field overlap, keeping magnets stable, and managing crowding as the field gets “denser.”There’s little to no pre-placement “setup” strategy – it’s almost entirely spatial awareness and dexterity.Hexagonal “Standing-Up” Version:Form factor: prismatic hex magnets, usually polarized end-to-end through the long axis.Gameplay behavior and new strategic dimension:Because they stand on an edge or facet, their orientation relative to the other pieces dramatically changes the local magnetic field. Each hex piece presents a distinct combination of pole exposure and field direction, depending on which facet rests on the table and how it’s rotated.Players can “tune” attraction/repulsion by selecting both:1. Facet choice (which determines which pole is closer to the surface), and:2. Rotational angle (which determines vector alignment to nearby fields). Before placing, players often “test” two magnets in hand – feeling the push/pull pattern to predict what will happen once placed. This adds a strategic layer: you can aim for micro-repulsion barriers to protect a gap, or subtly attract an opponent’s unstable piece so that their next move risks clumping.I bought both versions, planning to start with the “coin” version, then when that gets boring, switching to the hex version.Bring with your kid on the next flight in case they get bored with MineCraft5 stars2-player game in 2 versions, one much more complex than the other. This is the more complex hex pc ver.

Fun and exciting…
This Magnetic Chess Game by KBBYT is a fun game that can be understood easily, but will take hours of play to master. The included instructions are poorly translated from the original Chinese. I used Google to translate it. Later I realized that I could have looked up any magnetic chess game instructions as they are virtually all the same. The pieces in this set have quite strong irregularly shaped magnets. Unlike hexagon shaped pieces, the shape makes play more fun; placement of pieces is affected by the shape of the pieces. The pieces are smooth and each shape is the same.I believe this is a good value over similar magnetic chess games because of the added excitement of shaped pieces. It is easy to recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy games. 5 stars.

Inadequate explanation for how to play the game.
Game instructions in Chinese with very poor English translation.

Not all it was cracked up to be
It’s pretty simple.

Lots of fun!
This comes with magnets, carrying bag, string and instructions. The instructions are not in English, but the rules of the game are super simple. The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your magnets by placing them inside the string area without causing any other magnets to cluster together. The magnets are very pleasing to the eye and are smooth and pleasant to hold. The string length can be adjusted to suit how competitive of a game you want to have! This is a great game for family game night, picnics, camping, power outages, car trips and so much more! It is a game that mixes strategy and luck and is a lot of fun to play. No complicated rules and very easy for anyone to play and have a good time.Very happy with this little game set! It would make a great gift or an awesome addition to your game night repertoire!
