A must for anyone that needs help tracking time!
I am a preschool/Pre-K teacher and have a little one in my classroom that asks me about a hundred times a day when he is going home, when can he play with a certain toy he loves, and when nap time is over. We showed him visual schedules, (schedules with pictures that showed the order of events in the day), talked about routines, went over the schedule so many times a day, but to no avail. Nothing was working for him, but I knew we could solve this problem…I just knew we could find a better way. Time to search Amazon!!!Lo and behold, we found this Time Timer and knew that this was the answer to our prayers…We have been implementing the use of the Time Timer the past few weeks, and this timer has been beyond helpful to teach him about when things happen, making his day a little more predictable, and helping him feel less anxious. He has been happier since we implemented this and even asks for us to set the timer for him! He looks at it and tries to guess how many minutes are left, and has even been doing his own “countdowns”.The time timer has some included pictures, which are perfect for our typical routines, and the included clips are easy to use to attach and add visuals on the clock to show different upcoming events. The first day he continued to ask about when mom was coming, when he could play with a certain toy that he loves (it’s a special toy we use as reward to incentivize him to finish non-preferred learning activities with teachers) but now since we have been implementing it, he is now started to “read” the clock, even starting “reading” numbers because it is now meaningful to him. The drawing board surface on the front of the clock is a practical way to get him to “read” and teachers to add to the clock. (Not to mention it has a nice storage area in the back to keep everything available and “on hand”.)I have used different Time Timers in my classroom over the years, and they are how I keep my students aware of times and schedules, minimizing stressful transitions. I set the timer, by students know what they need to do when it goes off. Time Timers are the best tool to help children (and adults!) stay on track. I am actually in awe of all the thought that goes into Time Timer products, because they are THAT GOOD. They are literally the gold standard of timers in my opinion because they are reliable, accurate, intuitive, well-made, user-friendly, all needs-friendly too—-with large dials and visuals/white board—-just all-around practical for anyone who needs to stay on task.I highly recommend this Time Timer and know that you will love it if you try them.

The visual shapes helps my kid not stress
So I’m not a professional teacher and I’m just using this at home with my 1 kid that is homeschooled, but for that one user it’s been a big change and a positive one. We’ve often used timers (digital displays, or even personal assistants “Siri/Alexa”) to help the kid track time to work on a task, school work, or a fun break. The problem that I quickly learned is the digital timers cause the kid some anxiety and if it’s a task/chore the timer is for that anxiety was worse. Because of that we’d stopped using them all together nearly. Not anymore. The TIME TIMER is well designed, easy to use, and gives a high contrast easy to follow visual timer. There is something about just seeing the red part of the circle slowly getting smaller that not only removes the anxiety from having a timer running but has made her excited to use it. She’s requested I ‘start a timer’ for more things than we normally did. It’s become a fun thing. I mean the build quality is really well done. The fact you can use it like a little white board is helpful, I like the tags that are included to clip and overall I’m sure this is a nice piece to have in a classroom. But the most important part to me is it helps her feel more confident and not stressed about learning to manage time use. It’s worth it for that alone.

Perfect Tool For ADHD!!
I love everything about this timer! My husband and I both have ADHD. We also have a toddler. This is such an amazing tool to help keep us all on track! The red makes the passage of time concrete for those of us with time blindness!Plus, it has so many features, while being incredibly easy to use! There is a switch on the back where you can turn sound on and off. I like the audio alert, except for if my kiddo is awake. Being able to toggle between so easily them is fantastic! Setting the timer just means turning the peg/dial on the front. The caddy holds the clock so that the entire thing can be set on a flat surface. It also holds all of the accessories! Marker, cards, and arrows. The cards are an excellent assortment of tasks, plus a few blank ones and numbers, too. They are easily attached to the caddy to mark several activities within a routine. I like to keep my morning routine on display for the front, since I do that every day and getting it started is super important. When I use the timer for other tasks, I take the whole clock out of the caddy, and put it onto the side of my refrigerator with the convenient magnets installed on the clock’s back. The dry erase marker allows me to add temporary notes and time alerts to the face of the clock. This has helped me SO much with time management! And I get to help my kid learn good habits right from the get-go!I highly recommend this!

Not perfect, but pretty great!
This visual timer offers a lot! The little cards and clips are a very cool idea. It’s nice that it comes with a frame and storage area in the back. I do wish it had a few more clips so that if you lose one, one breaks or you need another picture or two, you could add them. I also very much wish there was a way to set it to alarm more times than just at the end. We have been using this for getting ready for school. And although it is helpful, we find that we miss when it is time for one of the activities because there is no sound or thing to make you notice it. It is also quite bulky and big compared to our old simpler visual timer. Lastly, there is no way to silence the timer when you are right there and hear it, you just have to let it beep. I think we may end up going back to our old timer to use for smaller intervals in addition to this one, so that we have the sound for each activity.Overall, great idea and not a bad product, but room for improvements.

Whiteboard functionality has less uses than I expected. It seems impractical because it requires to be updated for each task individually
