Giant Piece of Crap
This thing is a giant piece of crap. Definite ONE STAR particularly for the the NO RETURNS policy. It is heavy, unwieldy and has lots of sharp edges. It is itching to take off a finger as the pieces swing around easily and the edges are extremely sharp as are the corners. The pieces are supposed to be held together when folded up by velcro but the velcro is too small and insufficient for the weight. The velrco adhesive easily melts in the heat. The sharp edges are damaging my vehicle. Mine arrived with a bent rail – and let me repeat – there are NO RETURNS on this item. I also ordered the extension kit so the front lip can fit over the rear door ledge in my van. The holes in one of the extensions was not aligned correctly and had to be drilled out. Also the nuts provided for the bolts were the wrong size. They were too large for the bolt necessitating a trip to Lowe’s to get properly sized nuts – and again – did I say there are NO RETURNS on these items. The non-skid surface is like sand paper and is easily torn. I’ve used my ramp 3 times and the non skid surface is already damaged. Very unhappy with the purchase.

As a wheelchair ramp it works fine but as a walk on ramp
I am using it as a dual purpose for a wheelchair and also as a ramp for me to walk in my home. As a wheelchair ramp it works fine but as a walk on ramp, due to the side of the ramp having a 1 inch high plate so the wheelchair does not fall off. its very dangerous due to it having very sharp edges on both ends of the ramp which I stubbed my toe on and cut my toe at the top edge of the metal pate where it has a 45 degree angle cut and is very sharp. I think it should be rounded. Another thing I came across is that the video on how to connect and disconnect the ramp from each other is not as the video shows. The connecting pins I received looks like large safety pins and is not flush with the surface of the ramp when the ramp is joined together. I had to modify the ramp for my safety and use so I had the sides (metal plate about 1 inch high on both sides of ramp) cut to make it even with the surface of the ramp. I know I cannot return it due to it being modified. However, I need this for my health condition. I think it can be improved if they follow the video and rounding off the sharp edges on the metal sides.

It is easy to install and very sturdy.
It took a little thinking about how I was going to anchor the ramp to brick steps, but Figured it out with a few adoptive 2′ x 4″ anchors. In addition, I anchored and gave it additional support at the mid point because my wife is worth the extra effort and support.I spent about 3 hours of working time on the project, because I had to work alone and needed to separate each ramp from the other and take it into the garage They were too heavy for the 72 YO man to carry alone. Two people should be able to carry them with ease. Most of the other time was burned up on finding my saw, my drill, my drill bits, and screws….oh and working!It does what it is supposed to do and easily climbs the 3 steps up (about 19-3/4″) to my home level.And, it was MADE IN AMERICA!

The seller and Amazon pointed the finger at each other for adding GST when it should not have been added. Then they stopped pointing the finger and just ignored my complaint with no resolution.The ramp works as expected just not happy with either Amazon’s or Spreetail’s customer service.

It seems like a well made product but it just didn’t suit for what I was looking for. Plan to return it.
