Customers say

Customers find the timer to be a great invention that’s easy to set up and use, particularly for kids who love running it themselves. Moreover, they appreciate its effectiveness for both hand washing and teeth brushing, with the light flashing progressively faster as time runs out. However, the timer’s durability receives mixed feedback – while some say it holds up to daily use, others report corrosion within two months. Additionally, functionality is mixed, with some saying it works well while others report it stops working.

    Great for toddlers!
Toddler teacher here! This has been great with helping my kiddos learn about handwashing! The green and red lights are great for keeping them focused on washing their hands instead of playing in the water! I have the suction cup mounted to our bathroom mirror and it doesn’t move when the children press the button firmly.

Absolutely awesome, just don’t get it wet!!
These timers are so great, I’m just sorry I didn’t order one for every bathroom plus an extra. The kids love them, for hand washing and teeth brushing. I even find myself using the darned thing!I have not come across any other way to get the kids to brush their teeth for 2 minutes, and frankly after using it myself I am pretty sure I have never brushed my teeth for 2 whole minutes. It’s a great habit to get the kids into and if this helps with that it is worth every penny! My only comment is that for something that is made to be used at the sink they could be more water resistant. My five year old got one only slightly wet, and it stopped working. I took out the batteries, dried the unit, left it out to dry out the insides, replaced the batteries, and pressed a button. It turned lit up but would not shut off after the 20 seconds or 2 minutes were over. The reset button did not work and I actually ended up pushing that in altogether.I will be ordering a couple more of these next time I order off Amazon, and the kids now know that they have to be more careful about getting it wet.

    LOVE THIS PRODUCT
I need something help my kids (ages 3,2,1) to understand time because putting soap in ur hand and rinsing it off doesn’t qualify as washing ur hands in my book! this is great little product that takes 3 AAA battery (not included) and a screw or suction cup for the wall or mirror. but I found if I put it on the mirror therefor, they couldn’t reach it(they barley can reach the faucet handles) and I really didn’t want to put a screw in the wall so I used a small 3m command hook and placed it right under the light switch. BINGO! it worked great. you press the hand button and the light starts to flash green and as the time goes on the green light flash faster and faster the it turns red to (say stop) and rinse you hands! and the tooth brushing dose the same thing but just longer time! After having this product in the kids bathroom for a week, I ordered another one for the other bathroom because sometime they use our bathroom too. (plus I am trying to train my husband to brush his teeth as long as you supposed to. He (like most men) do a quick job. ( and is not setting a good example for the kids? So now it a race to see when the timer is going to stop. hehehe)LOVE this product and would highly recommend it!!!!!

Use this for two year old time out chair
Our two yr old son had a really hard time staying put in his trouble chair. Every time I would send him to it he would spend so much energy and emotions on wanting out of the chair that I felt he was losing focus on the initial behavior that landed him there in the first place. This little thing helps. It is just enough distraction to keep him from a complete melt down. It’s been a few months and we still use it regularly. Typically there isn’t a huge tantrum throwing toddler constantly trying to get up and throw the chair. It had allowed us to focus on the original behavioral issue (usually hitting his sister). We still struggle now and again with him wanting to get up before the toothbrush light goes off but lately I just threaten to start it all over and he sits right back down.Negatives – I had to duct tape the battery cover on because it comes off way too easily for a toddler. Also the sticky tape they give to mount the unit holder onto the wall does not hold well. After a few months it has fallen off. We now have it setting on a shelf instead.

Good & Durable; badly designed holder
If using the suction cup on the holder of this unit, the suction cup is not behind the buttons that you push. When you push the buttons, the suction cup acts as a fulcrum and the unit pops up when using the suction cup. This sometimes results in the unit falling out, and sometimes results in the suction cup losing suction & falling in to the sink.Because my unit has fallen into the empty sink ~5 times already, I can say that it is not yet broken (~24″ drop each time), and therefore durable by definition.20 seconds on hand-washing is not realistic because you push the button with DRY hands first, of course, and then turn on the water, and get soap in your hands. About 10 seconds has gone by by the time you start to get soapy. This is quite unfortunate. Pressing the button with soapy hands seems to lack common sense because you’ll get the unit soapy. Having someone else push the button for hand washing would be a solution, but I didn’t see “extra hands” listed on Amazon’s product listing.Obviously the tooth-brushing button works better because your hands are dry, typically, when you brush your teeth, so you can press the button almost immediately when you want to start.Double-stick tape would rid you of the badly designed holder and solve the button-pushing/fulcrum issue.I can’t think of anything that would solve the soapy hands issue..

So far this is great. Depite my stubborn child pretending not to like it he wants to show all his friends and he’s washing his hands for 20 seconds. We’re working on the teeth brushing. He thinks 2 mins is too long. But it has definitely extended his effort.

This is a great way to get your kids to wash and brush longer. They can focus on the flashing light and watch for it to turn red. My kids (age 4) loved it. Unfortunately it broke after 2 months but it was good while it lasted.
