Many of us try to make an educated purchase, product knowledge past customer reviews etc. I purchased this product in July 2025. It worked flawlessly for a few months, battery life is incredible. One day it just quit, left me on the floor of my garage ( I use this chair for everything, not just a bath) I managed to take it apart and jump it with a charger voltage and got me off the floor. I contacted SuperHandy through their website, I emailed what had happened, how I took it apart to get myself off the floor ( unless you have electrical knowledge, I do not recommend) I was trying to purchase a battery, I was answered with a message that they received my message and I would be contacted within a few days, surprisingly I was answered the next day, with a answer that a email would follow with replacement information at no charge to me. This was a simple filling out of my name and address, click on the order form. I was notified of shipping information and delivery, within a day or so I received a new controller by Fedx and was back using it. This was the best customer service I have received in years!! If you are reading this, thank you so much Vicky. I would purchase again (superHandy sells other products as well, looking in to these), this chair is not heavy, it is sturdy as well, I am 260 Lbs, I pull it up on the foot board of my Jazzy power chair, I move it wherever I need to do low level work, or need to be lifted from the floor, and bathing even in the shower. Or working on my vehicle etc.What happened to my chair was not a design or mfg flaw. It was a component failure in the controller, likely would not happen again or to another, so purchase with confidence, be assured of great customer service if needed.

Sturdy, secure & comfortable
F75 5’11” 170 lbs here. No muscles to speak of. Delvery box heavy but it came right to my door, so I could drag it inside, & unbox it in the hall. I had read there was no assembly, so I was able to use the convenient handles to stand it up, & the roller wheels got it into the bathroom. Easy to lift into tub & position (I had premeasured). Read instructions, charged handset all day, & was able to take a bubble bath without worrying I’d get stuck in the tub or fall trying to get up & need the Fire Dept. You have no idea what you’re going to miss as you lose strength & mobility, and I’m very thankful this was only such a silly thing, but I swear I felt 20 years younger splashing around amidst the bubbles. Seat was sturdy, lifted me all the way up before tub had finished draining. Handset no problem as I just let it hang outside the tub. Very comfortable seat. Easy to rinse & wipe off. I will let it dry overnight, then collapse it (it has a narrow profile) and store it alongside the vanity, so I can shower during the week.

Worth every penny!
Omg! So easy to use, right out of the box! It was so great a product that after buying one for my 89 year old mother… I bought another for my 80 year old aunt for her birthday. When I set it up for my mom, I stepped into the room next to the bathroom to give her relaxing privacy. I could hear her splashing around and laughing about finally feeling safely seated in her nice hot bath water.The next day mom took a fall. I grabbed the chair lift out of the bathroom tub, and placed it next to her on the floor. She was able to slide onto the lift. I hit the “on” button, and pressed the up arrow.Up she rode…and thankfully no injuries. All I could think was, thank goodness she’s ok, and I don’t have to call 911 to lift her off the floor again.Very happy with this purchase so far. Don’t even think twice. As another reviewer said, “It’s a game changer.”

Made a difference in our day out!
Waited until we used this to write a review. Bought this shower lift chair to use in our van to help a wheelchair bound person. It worked much better than we even hoped for. Searched many types of lifts. Some very expensive and some very heavy. If you have a wheelchair bound person in your life, you already are tired from lifting and helping them. And you already know everything to aid a disabled person is expensive and a lot of items are heavy! This lift is 19 lbs and was purchased on sale. Why not try it? Got it a month early from when it was needed so we could practice. Practice run went surprisingly well. Actual day needed for an important trip made a huge difference in the entire day. The lift was placed next to the backseat in van (one van seat removed for extra room fulltime), scooted onto lift, raised with remote, scooted onto seat, fold lift down and slide behind seat and go! Did this 4+ during the day. Made a big difference in having sore muscles and not having sore muscles from the already long day. We hope it is durable and lasts quite awhile. It is lightweight, chargeable, has little wheels and definitely made a difference in our person’s day. Glad we took a chance on it. We also have an IndeeLift in the house(for years). It is great for next to the bed but way too heavy for transporting. This worked very well.

Reliable help when you need it.
My wife and I are in our late seventies and early eighties respectively. We both have had falls in the past and so far have been pretty lucky but with increasing difficulty getting back up. My wife also has mobility issues and has not been able to take a full bath. When I came across this item it looked like the perfect solution for both issues and the reviews were quite favorable so I ordered one. It arrived promptly (fully assembled) and with easy to read and follow instructions. My wife had a medical appointment today so we decided to give it a try in the bathtub. It worked perfectly and she really loved being able to immerse herself because of it’s low profile seat. On the way out the door she lost her balance and fell. Her position would have made it difficult if not impossible for me to help her up. I went back in the house and brought the Super Handy out. She was able to get on it because of it’s low profile seat. It once again (in two hours) worked perfectly and she was able to stand and get back into the house. I’m sorry I can only give this product five stars. It deserves more.

This has saved us 3 ambulance/lifeline calls in a week. I have an elderly parent that I can no longer pick themselves off the floor when they fall and this go rise is exactly what I was looking for to get them off the ground. Used on tiled kitchen, carpeted bedroom and living room.Some key things to note…> It is expensive but worth it for someone who is a fall risk and you are trying to prevent injury to yourself in getting them up.>It is heavy but that is due to being quite sturdy.>It can be difficult for someone with very little strength and mobility to lift/shimmy/bumshuffle on to the seat, as even when flat on the floor it has a 2 inch raise.> The white arm attachments are useless and flimsy, we use it without them.> It can not be operated by the fall patient on their own, it needs someone to monitor for safety.> Its advisable to lean the go rise against a wall if possible, to provide additional support to the person trying to shimmy on.> The rise does not get to the same height as a normal chair, this might be ok for smaller people, taller people will likely struggle to get themselves to standing position without support or proper arm rests…which this does not have.> There are other GO Rises that are likely studier but the portability on this is excellent, I can lug this up or downstairs as needed (which has been useful for falls at night)>Assembly was easy but like I said the flaps are useless. Power excellent, haven’t charged it in 3 weeks.>Can be hidden behind sofas.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANY CARER DEALING WITH A PATIENT THAT FALLS THAT CANT PICK THEM OFF THE FLOOR ANYMORE. THIS SAVES WAITING HOURS FOR AMBULANCES.Note to the Product Developers…Thank you for creating this, some recommendations have the seat rise up at least 3 inches more. Please try flatten the seat more.Create detachable, proper arm rests attached to the back support not the seat.

It was exactly what we were looking for. My Mom has a bad habit of sliding out of bed to the floor. She is unable to get up and my Dad can no longer help her. He can slide this over to her and she wiggles on to the seat (level with the floor) and within minutes is in the seated position and can then stand up. It’s been great easy to use!! Thank you

Bought this to help get up off the floor if or when I fall. I have IBM and sometimes for no real reason my legs just give out and I fall. I’m not able to get up on my own because I don’t have the muscle strength in my upper legs to get up. So I bought this to help me get up if I ever needed it. We tested it out a few time and it works. I haven’t fallen yet to use it and better not to fall. I bought it as insurance for if I ever need it.Since it can hold up to 330 lbs, I told my brother when it’s time to change tires for winter or summer, he can try using this to lift the tires into the trunk to bring to the garage.
