Customers say
Customers find this mechanical keyboard to be fairly decent for gaming, with positive feedback about its functionality, looks, feel, and customization options, particularly praising the infinite RGB backlight customization. The sound quality receives mixed reviews – while some find it quieter than other keyboards, others note it’s not as quiet as Logitech keyboards. The value for money and brightness features also get mixed reactions, with some finding it worth the price while others say it’s not worth the higher cost, and while the lighting can be adjusted, some find the effects disappointing.

Spanish Ñ layout users
Excellent keyboard, just be careful with hitting too hard the spacebar. For spanish users, you can asign the Ñ with microsoft keyboard layout creator or just add a spanish layout through windows and it will take the ; as Ñ

NZXT doesn’t miss
I’ve always been a huge fan of NZXT to the point that I chose to have my PC built in 2019 by them. I’ve been upgrading that PC recently and saw that the function 2 keyboard was finally on sale. Personally I love the minimal look to it as well as how the keys feel when I type. I previously used a full mechanical keyboard and wasn’t a fan of the loud noise it made from a simple key stroke. The NZXT f2 has a unique sound to me and the quality feels much better than I anticipated. I’m not a huge macro or key mapping guy but this seems to have a healthy bit of that in the CAM Software. I love the fact that unlike other keyboards I’ve used in the past. This one doesn’t have a pocket for trash to find it’s way into in between the keys. It’s more or less just a flat white board that does an amazing job at bouncing light off of it to create smooth gradients in the RGB. If I had to toss out a complaint it’s that the RGB aren’t as customizable as your PC case lights using the nzxt connectors. It’s mainly different variations of rainbow with some not so satisfying key press effects. It connects via a USB c to USB A connector, nothing too fancy there though I wish it would’ve been just type c to type c for consistency.

Lo recomiendo c:
Me encantó, una de las cosas que adoro de la marca NZXT es que la caja es preciosa, pero la caja ha llegado algo golpeada y doblada, por lo demás espero que el teclado sea un éxito

Excellent
Obviously I am writing this review with this keyboard and it feel so nice to type on. I was using a Microsoft Sidewinder for the last 10+ years and this one is a world of difference. If like me you like the tactile experience of typing on mechanical keys, this one feels great. The caps have a very slight matte feel to them and the ability to customize your color is a must for me because I hate being blinded by rainbow RBG cascades. you can change the intensity of the light with a dedicated button on the side as well as a volume scroll wheel which is much easier than fumbling for the controls on my headset. There is also a lock which disables the Windows key, handy if you are a button masher in times of frenetic game play. The removable magnetic wrist rest feels great and the magnetic attachment holds it in place well. the extra caps and switches are nice, but I will be surprised if I ever need them. if, you like matte black this is the keyboard for you. The only thing I miss from my old keyboard is the dedicated media controls. I have always like NZXT products and this one feels great in every regard.

Smooth and very accurate keyboard
Beautiful, smooth, good price, but there’s a learning curve to using it. The button sensitivity is pretty high – so take that into consideration. I’m not 100% sure whether the responsiveness is adjustable in the keys or not. I’m not the most accurate typer/gamer so it’s my fault if I fat finger multiple keys. Definitely recommend for a mid level keyboard

Software hardlocks my system.
[UPDATE: The nzxt CAM software hardlocks my system every day or so. At first I won’t be able to type, then I won’t be able to click, then the mouse cursor will freeze, and I’ll have to CUT THE POWER. There is an easy work around in that you only have to run it while you are programming the keyboard, as all the settings are saved on the hardware. Just be sure it’s not set to auto-run with windows, or you will be in for a nasty surprise.I’m sure it’s CAM, because I stopped running it for a few days and everything was fine. Then I ran it to change the lighting, and forgot to close it, and it locked up a few hours later. I’m running windows 10 with Kaspersky Antivirus]You know what doesn’t exist in the keyboard market? A hotswap tkl keyboard with a volume knob and north-facing leds.Okay— Epomaker makes a few, but they feel cheap and their LEDs flicker like mad. And Keychron makes a south-facing tkl with a knob that’s perfect (except like all south-facing keyboards the leds don’t actually illuminate the letters.)So NZXT should have had a real winner here. All they had to do was not overthink it, just feed an under-served market and take their money. (They even managed keep keys for PrtSct, Scroll-lock and Pause!)And then someone at NZXT said, “This product is too perfect, how can we make the volume control next to useless?””I know… let’s put it under the keyboard!””No, that’s to obvious… how about we stick it on the left?””Perfect!”Beside that, the abs keycaps feel like garbage, but I’d just as soon choose my own so I don’t mind this. And the stabilizers are kind of garbage too, (they rattle and are hard to mod.) And a barebones kit would have saved me a lot of time, removing all the parts I didn’t want anyway. But it’s hotswap so you can do whatever you want with the switches, which is nice. The lighting and the software are great, so no real complaints there. (though I would like to be able to make an em dash — with a function key.) The chassis is nice and sturdy. It sits low so you don’t need a wrist rest. And the knob, annoying as it is that it’s on the left, works pretty well. So, it’ll sit on my desk as a monument of missed perfection, simplicity overthought. And I’ll sigh at it for a year or two, until someone actually gets it right.

While I was a bit worried about this working with Ubuntu my trepidation was totally unfounded. The feel of this keyboard is solid and while I had to set up customised key colours in Windows (CAM, Linux does not yet have a equivalent I know of) the keyboard seems to have onboard memory to store customisations which worked also on Ubuntu and is BLOODY AWESOME!!! Very happy.

I had a hardtime deciding which keyboard I should try, and took this one because of a friend recommendation. I cannot be more happy with it. It feels just perfect for working or play without distinction, at least for my usage. Slightly pressing a key will take it as an input, some keys slightly easier than others (or that’s my feeling).
