Great tool for parents!
This pulse oximeter provides continuous oxygen and heart rate monitor, but is also good for daily checkups. The battery life is pretty impressive with convenient USB-C charging available. The readings seem accurate and consistent, and can be stored for later reference. I find it very easy to use and the housing seems durable. Overall, it’s a great tool to have on hand when you have a sick kid to take care of, so I would rate the functionality as excellent!

I picked up this pulse oximeter to keep tabs on my kiddo’s oxygen and heartbeat, and it’s been pretty helpful. It’s small and lightweight so fitting it on tiny fingers isn’t a struggle. The readings and pulse feel accurate and update fast, which is comforting when you’re watching every number. The display is clear without being harsh and buttons are easy to press. It’s a nice tool to have around when health is a worry, but it’s not a substitute for medical advice. Simple, practical, and gives me some peace of mind.

This is a great little pulse ox machine to have on hand for all households! It’s easy to charge and doesn’t take too long at all. It’s easy to use and provides a reading seconds. This is great to have for anyone with lung issues or illness when you want to monitor their oxygen levels. The accuracy seems to be on point and it functions well without any issues. Anyone would be able to figure this out! It’s a good value for the money too!

Good Display But Annoying Controls
I don’t know why the MedChirrup Handheld Pulse Oximeter is described as “for Kids”. It works just fine for this adult as well.The oximeter comes with a 39″ Type C USB charging cable and a 37″ long oximeter cable. My oximeter arrived fully charged and the charge light turned green as soon as I plugged the charging cable into a 5V/2A USB wall charger. The oximeter cable has a shaped plug so it cannot be inserted incorrectly.The included user’s manual is 35-pages long and extremely thorough. Because of its small size though, the print is very tiny and hard to read even with my bifocals on. I wish the manual included a link to an online copy.The oximeter clip is silicone lined and fits very comfortably on my index finger. The spring-loaded clip is firm without squeezing hard enough to be painful for a young child.I found the controls a bit annoying to use though. There is a thin blue border indicating the element selected that is difficult to see. The controller screen is not touch sensitive, so all control is done via a round select button and 2 up/down cursor buttons. I went through 6 selections to set the date and time, only to lose my work by exiting the Time setup screen without first selecting a Set option and hitting the select button. No warning about loosing my settings, or automatically saving the date and time. The controls are time intensive and non-intuitive.Although the first setup option I changed was the pulse sound with made a loud beep with every heartbeat. That got old very quickly. You cannot disable that option, but you can set the beep volume to zero.The power button is on the side of the device and turns on with a quick push, but requires a long push to turn the unit off. It is very easy to accidentally turn the oximeter on while placing it back in its box.I like the main display screen. The specific oxygen and pulse rate are easy to see, along with the low and high alarm limits. The graphical pulse waveform is also fun to watch. I just wish the controls were a little easier to use.
