Super simple operation and truly silent (? see update)
UPDATE:After about a week of use, this timer is suddenly no longer silent. I had it sitting next to me on my desk, and I started hearing a rapid ticking sound. I’m in a fairly quiet room but I’m wearing over-ear headphones. And I can hear the ticking. The sound changes or sometimes stops if I jiggle the timer around, but it’s definitely ticking. So my previously 5 star review for an actually silent timer is now 4 stars for a very quiet timer. Depending on your needs, this might not matter but be aware of the possibility that there will be a faint tick.==========I use a visual timer many times throughout the day, and I was very pleased to find this BellMan timer solves all the frustrations I’ve had with my previous timers.The settings are very straightforward. Choose the duration of the alarm, either 3 or 60 seconds. There’s a choice of silent, quiet, or loud alarm. Both of these settings are controlled by two simple switches on the back of the timer. The quiet alarm is very quiet, which I love. Especially on the 3 second setting, it’s just a brief series of gentle beeps accompanied by a flashing red LED. It’s enough to catch your attention but not too jarring or distracting.Setting the timer duration couldn’t be easier. Just turn the dial on the front, revealing the giraffe picture. If you want to adjust the timer while it’s running, just turn the dial again. This is the winning feature for me, solving a big problem I’ve had with other timers (and I’ve tried several). This is hands down the easiest timer to operate.The last great feature is the silent operation. It is truly silent, to the point where I didn’t think it was working at first. If you press the timer right up to your ear in a quiet room you can barely hear the faintest of ticking sounds, but you’d never hear it in any normal circumstance. This is really a fantastic timer.

Fun and funky visual timer
This is a very fun and cute timer. Works very well for my visual children. The giraffe neck shortening is a fun twist. Does not include batteries. My only complaint is that it sits at a somewhat awkward angle unless you are directly next to it… so made to be next to you on the table rather than in front of you or on a shelf. But it works great and has helped my visual learners tremendously!
