Excellent Product
Please be careful when installing this or any railing or bar. With another bar I attached, the screws went into electrical wires and I got a good shock. They run vertical not far from the bathtub, up to the ceiling, I believe. It burnt the wires. It went through two 110 wires and its casing, as an electrician informed me. He said, being quite concerned, I came very close to hitting the 220 wire. I am so grateful a fire did not start since the wires were burnt and it smelt like something burning behind the wall. Praise the LORD Jesus Christ, He was looking out for me, and this is what the electrician stated too.[…] Please note photo of wires place in homes when being built. They do run everywhere and close to the floor too.These are excellent grab bars for those in need and would recommend them placed in studs, if possible. With the screws, I do not think they will ever move. You certainly can use shorter, which I did, and the bars are most stable. I put them on the molding around either side of a door and only used 4 screws per bar and they are not moving anywhere. I did not screw past the molding, not knowing if there might be deadly wires hiding.

Good Product, Very Sturdy
I bought this for my dad after he stayed at a senior living for Physical and Occupational Therapy. I noticed each restrooms had 2 bars positioned by each toilet and I wanted to do the same. I got this 24 inch bar for the older single walled side of the house, no studs. All I had to do was, add a backing on the outside of the wall, so that the screws didn’t stick and to make sure the screws were tightened properly. I tried pulling on it, and it feels really sturdy. My only complaint would be, it doesn’t have a screw cover plate, but that’s what I ordered. I’m not sure why, but the 24 inch could not be shipped to Hawaii for some reason. I don’t understand, because I ordered the 36 inch and they sent it to me, both from Amazon. Other than that, I am happy with my purchase and would definitely buy more if needed and it’s much cheaper buying it here on Amazon, compared to our local big box stores.

A solid economical grab bar
This is a simple strong grab bar. I used 2 to add handholds to my steep cellar stairs. I can grab on, hang from them and they support my entire 200 pound weight. Easy to install.

glad to have an affordable version, with no covers
This was to be installed for someone on a budget, in their basement stairway. We were glad to have this option with no covers because it made it a bit cheaper than with covers, and the person needed 3 in various places. Appearance was not a concern for them; safety and affordability were more important.Besides bathrooms, think about other places in the house your loved ones might need a hand: doorways, near a bed or favorite chair, laundry room, near pet bowls or litter box….Relying on nearby chairs, end tables, etc, is not safe. We put bars in lots of places for elderly customers (we repair homes). Stay safe, everyone!

Works great and very sturdy. The size is easy to grab on to and has a nice non-slip texture. Not the best looking handrail, but highly functional and safe.

Great value!
This grab bar was a fantastic value! It’s the best bar for the price, I know because I spent hours shopping. I needed a 2′ long grab bar to put in our garage at a door that’s 2 steps up in to the kitchen pantry. Because it was in the garage the exposed screws were not a concern. The bar is sturdy as can be. I am 250 lbs and pull hard on the bar pulling myself into the house and it dosent give a bit. The only caution is the cheap screws supplied with the bar. The screws were very soft and the Phillips heads stripped immediately. No problem, I kinda expect that. Nothing a few 2-1/2″ screws from my hardware stash couldn’t solve.

Es un excelente artículo, la medida de 18 pulgadas es suficiente para la ducha, también adquirí el de 24 pulgadas. El producto viene con un manual y 6 tornillos de acero inoxidable (importante para evitar la oxidación), no incluye los taquetes.Ya instalado se siente robusto, incluso puse todo mi peso en él y sin problemas, no se aflojó. Creí que se vería mal los tornillos expuestos, pero no, me gustó como luce; vale la pena adquirirlo por la seguridad que brinda.

Se siente muy resistente los materiales, por el precio creo que esta muy bien cumole con su cometido, esteticamente no es lo mejor pero cumple su funcionalidad, por 20 pesitos mas no me hubier molestado que le pusieran taquetes para ahorrarme la ida a la ferreteria pero pos es solo una idea para el vendedor
