Adequate construction
This pair of grab bars should do the job and seem to be fairly solid and have a decent finish. Neither is anything to brag about. We will be using them for grab rails in a shower so I’m not super concerned about appearance, but they kind of seem more at home in a commercial building, than in a residential home. The knurling is ok and should give good grip for safety, but again, not very refined. The bars are 16″ long making it easier to mount to a stud. The mounting hardware is included and includes the screws and expansion inserts if you can’t find a stud. Since this is for my mother-in-law I will probable use the expansion inserts but if you want to install it with a high assurance that it won’t fail, I would make sure to screw it into studs and would not trust the inserts with a loved one.The final note on these is that they felt the need to stamp writing onto the mounting covers. Why? It looks bad and just less refined.

Easy to Install, Feels Solid
We put these at one of our rental houses where the garage entry is kinda weird—like there’s this awkward step and no good place to hold onto. These bars totally fixed that. We used both of them and they’ve stayed really sturdy. No slipping or wobbling at all, even after a bunch of uses. They’re a little thinner than I pictured, not chunky or anything, but still strong enough to grab and feel safe. The texture helps a lot too, especially if your hands are wet. Installation wasn’t hard—took like maybe 10 minutes with a drill. I’d say it’s a good value for money since it does exactly what it’s meant to. Not flashy, just functional.

Solid and sturdy, just not what I was going for.
I wanted something to help keep me safe in my bathroom. I wanted something that didn’t look too “commercial”. These look very commercial to me. They did install easily, once we found the studs, so far I haven’t had any issues with them loosening up. I do feel extra safe now while in my bathroom, but I just don’t care for the “look”. Did I want something fancy looking? I guess, sorta. I just didn’t want my bathroom to look like a handicapped stall in a public area. It now does. I will keep them since the work was involved in installing them, they do function exactly as you’d expect, the grip is nice so there’s better grip and less slippage while using them, but had I realized how my bathroom would have looked afterwards, I probably would have gone with another set, that was in fact, a tad more stylish. That’s only me, personally. They are worth every penny and a great value at $20. So if you’re not worried about the overall looks afterwords, these are for you.

An “experts” opinion — these are good for at least 300 lbs., if installed correctly.
I consider myself an expert of grab bars for two reasons: 1. I have installed many over the years with no complaints or accidents, and 2. I am 83 years old, and reliant on grab bars for stability and ease of rising.I bought these grab bars to replace two shorter ones — one on each side of my bathtub/shower.These are a bit lighter weight than many I have installed, but they are more than adequate if properly installed.Regarding properly installed, throw away the drywall inserts and be certain you mount them to structural wood in the walls. If where they need to be installed does not have structure, get a nice piece if finished 1×4 or 1×6 to mount between the studs — 3 studs if you are mounting horizontally, or two pieces that cross two studs to go top and bottom if you are mounting vertically.Mine are mounted through plywood and into posts. They will never pull out.

Works well for light duty use
I used this grab bar as a handle on a small access panel to get into a ceiling area. The bars are nice enough and seem well made. The diameter is smaller than other options (1” vs 1.5”), and doesn’t feel quite as sturdy. It comes with decent hardware, be sure to anchor these into studs and not just drywall. The knurling is not very deep and provides little in the way of grip. I don’t care for the “SUS304” stamping on the covers, but not a big deal.Overall, these are decent light-duty grab bars.

Do the job well. Will need a drill to install. Very sturdy its a buy.
Added this second pair. They are very sturdy feeling. They have some weight to them. I liked my first ones and decided to add two more.

Made For Safety
The 2 pack of safety handles is rated 4 stars because a real test of load capacity has not occurred because, unfortunately, they have not been installed. The were purchased to use in my future home, and the move hasn’t taken place yet. The design, overall look, plus the number of pieces, match the description. The embossed handle definitely increases the ability to grip the bar without slippage. The only initial concern was the rough edges of the inner connection, and the fact that welding marks are visible. However, my handyman assures me that will not affect installation or durability.

Functional assist grip bars
I ordered these Azakio “2-Pack, Shower Grab Bars & Bathtub Safety Handles – 304 Stainless Steel Textured Non-Slip Assist Rails for Anti-Fall Support in Tub, Shower, and Toilet Areas” in color Silver, size 16 Inch. This set of two is exactly what we need for bathroom assistance for elder care. The bars are made cleanly, with a textured grip into the metal. The set includes mounting gear. You just need someone with power tools who knows how to find studs because I wouldn’t trust the expansion plugs.
