It is very easy to use because the valve release is so smooth …
I am an RN and I’ve used many types of sphygmomanometers in past, I wish I would have had this years ago. I had never used the palm type before. It is very easy to use because the valve release is so smooth and easy to control and all is done with one hand. The display is great. It is extra large and very easy to see in dim light. Everything about it is top notch quality. Even the container bag that comes with it is nice. It is big enough and not skimpy like some brands are. It is also very accurate.

Excellent Product
I ordered the sphygmomanometer because I’m ramping up for PA school.I have used other manual and automatic sphygmomanometers and this one is one of the best I’ve used. It’s somewhat heavy, but that solid feeling really feels good in my hand. The dial is large and easily read; the bulb is quite reactive when pumped and the release valve is incredibly smooth and twists cleanly open to closed and vice versa. I find it a slight bonus that the cuffs do not have a D-ring method of wrapping it around the arm but are simply draped and the hook and loop tapes hold well.This kit also includes a name tag to attach to the palm unit which I hadn’t thought of before and am glad one is provided.I’m very happy with this unit and the lifetime guarantee grants assurance that even if there is a problem, the company will be in a position to fix it.

I truly love my MDF Sphygmomanometer now I have been using it often in my clinical examination classes. Even my lecturer tried it and was very impressed with how it performs and its built in quality. It is very well built, sturdy and accurate and I am sure it is going to last a lifetime.I must admit at first I had trouble controlling the release pressure valve and I would release it too fast and miss the first heard noise when taking blood pressure. So, I would have to repeat the process a little slower. But with any sphygmomanometer it takes a few uses to get used to the instrument. I am so happy with it I had to write a review. I only wish MDF also included an adult cuff with a D-ring so the person buying the spygmo can also use on themselves. As others have commented I will have to buy an extra cuff with a D ring later on and extra. The reason why I chose this model was the lifetime calibration warranty and the good reviews from fellow Amazon shoppers that took the time to leave a review. I love to shop at Amazon because I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with any of my purchases. Even in the instances where there was a problem with my order, it was quickly solved.

Very happy with this product!
The Aneroid has some heft and seems adequately protected by a rubber pad all around the dial. No dial bounce noted when patient is still. The device fits my hand comfortably and I can easily manipulate the controls. I have used this device many times at work since I received it and I feel that it’s accurate and sturdy enough for clinical use.The single hose design is a nice concept but this device’s implementation could be simpler. The end of the included cuff has an adapter inserted inside the tube and held in place by a small metal ring outside the tube. This adapter has a notch which aligns with the aneroid’s mounting location.1) holding this in place while getting the threaded metal sleeve over the threaded mount is difficult at first.2) the sleeve and mount’s threads aren’t perfect. I had to work mine for a short while to clear the threads and make it tighten smoothly.3) once the kinks are worked out everything goes smoothly. Until you want to use another sized cuff. Then you must pull up the sleeve and little metal ring, pull out the adapter insert, then reinstall on the other cuff.Can we purchase more adapter sets? To put into all our cuffs for easy use? One star off due to the threads and only one adapter.Small issues, great product!

For my experience, I would give 0 stars if it were an option. The product I received was apparently an old model. The customer service folks had to go back and research it, to know what I was talking about, they had no idea. They couldn`t understand why I was unable to attach any cuffs (No connectors even on the meter). Long story short, I had to get connectors from them and cut the tubing to install them. Additionally, the connectors were promised to be delivered before an upcoming community health fair I had scheduled, and that didn`t happen. Further, I find that the connectors leak air.The newer versions apparently have bayonet connectors on the unit, which would make the unit much easier to handle and make changing of cuffs (but you also have to ask for connectors, for each cuff you purchase) faster. The newer version has been out long enough that the customer service folks could not identify my meter until I sent them a picture. I like the unit itself, but I paid the price of an updated model and instead, received one that I could not use, had to make several calls to figure out what to do, had to modify the product, have to be careful of the connectors (awkward), and they leak. It really does not sit well with me that I paid all that money (for a new version) and had to cut the tubing of a meter that was probably collecting dust somewhere, and now I have an inferior product. Not to mention that I am a nurse, and I now have to be worried about the accuracy of my patients blood pressure assessments. MDF will not be an option in the future for me.
