10-6-2014 Update on my below original review:I finally found a way to get this product into my dogs’ diets so I thought it only fitting to revise my original review and rating. A whole scoop of this product was over-whelming to the dogs at first, no matter how I stirred it into their food. Their taste buds said “NO” so I decided to reduce it down to 1/8 scoop each and stirred into a warm meat product that has been cooked was the way to go. I now have them up to a half a scoop each once a day and they are not having any difficulty wolfing down their food without complaints. I think one of the secrets was to mix it with hot cooked meats – they of course love any meat you put in front of them so they seem to be happy and I’m happy that they are getting additional nutrition in their meals.Old Review:This product just didn’t quite measure up to my dogs’ taste buds. The amount you should add to the dog’s food is a whole scoop – which is about 2+ tablespoons worth which can really taint the flavor of the food. If you have picky dogs used to eating their cooked meats and veggies along with kibble without additives then you might have a problem.I tried reducing the quantity of the mixture downward until I was at about 1+ teaspoons but my dogs still would avoid their food or eat very little of it. My dogs also do not like “sauce or gravy” in their food so adding liquid to spread the flavor around did not work either and actually made it worse. I now have a BIG jar of this stuff that neither dog will eat that is mixed into their food! I gave it a try but I couldn’t convince them it was in their best interest! BTW, it does have a decidedly “beefy” smell which I’m sure some dogs might really go for but my spoiled Springers only like the “real deal!”

NuPro has two versions, one is more focused on joint health but both have worked noticeably on all of the dogs we’ve had in our lives.The glucosamine element stays in their system longer than a pill would and the two larger gigs we had definitely benefitted from NuPro.

Two out of 3 dogs love it! I use this product to supplement a kibble and home-diet combination. I find the product mixes well with their food and it is quite palatable. My dogs now have healthy skin, shiny coats, lots of energy and did not experience digestive upset when introduced to the product. I think Nupro Dog Supplement is a high-quality way to add essential vitamins and minerals to my dogs’ diet. I believe that so long as the dog is willing to eat it – s/he will derive health benefits from the product..
