Moving and Positioning Aid for People, Animals, and Large Objects
This is a very useful aid in assisting with movement and repositioning of persons, and may also be used to assist with moving injured animals and some kinds of large heavy items. The pad is very well designed with two handles on each side, facilitating movement work by both individuals and teams of two or more. It may be used effectively by a single person through folding the pad around the person or object to be moved or repositioned. The multiple handle grips also provide plenty of options for balancing the weight with more than one person involved in moving or repositioning a person, animal, or object. These handle grips are folded over in the centers and sewn down to make them easier to use. The pad itself is not padded but is made of a double layer of thick and slick material which slides easily over smooth surfaces.I like the versatility of the color black, and it may be especially preferred for some types of situations in which a move or transfer may take place in a public space, as the color is more low profile than the bright blue. However, I can see an advantage to owning both, as the blue might be more preferable in everyday private situations. The blue color is nice and vibrant, and it can be easier to see when the pad needs some cleaning. Note that this pad can be machine washed, though air drying is recommended.I don’t have immediate need of this positioning pad but I do expect to use it in the future for assistance with movement and positioning of people, animals and objects. I am committed to keeping a home with certain essentials for accessibility and care of elderly, disabled, and injured persons, so that I might be prepared for future needs and opportunities in welcoming visitors and occasionally providing temporary care. I also want to be prepared to help an injured animal and may need it for one of my own. And it may be occasionally helpful for me in moving some large objects, whether I’m using the pad alone or with some assistance. I’m glad to have this and I’m sure I will find it useful.

Effective for repositioning and lifting elderly in-laws.
We have been caring for my in-laws for the past few years while they age in place at home. They are both in their mid-90’s, and each currently has minor mobility issues. They are usually able to get around with a minimal amount of assistance, but occasionally one of them requires help getting out of bed. I ordered this SPRING SEAON Positioning Bed Pad for review because I thought it could not only be helpful now, but even more useful as they get older and less mobile.The pad is roughly 4 feet by 3 feet and has two handles stitched onto each side of the mat. That size is appropriate for smaller, elderly people and is easy to slip underneath the person you need to move. While the pad is rated to support folks up to 400 lbs, my in-laws (and MOST people in their 90’s) are much lighter than that. My mother-in-law is only 95 lbs and my father-in-law is about 145 lbs. We have no worries that the handles will come loose, as they are very well stitched onto the pad. I noticed the pad had a smell that I attributed to the manufacturing process, so we threw it in the wash before we used it. Please note that while it is machine washable, it is recommended to air-dry the mat instead of putting it in the dryer. So we hung it to dry and the smell was gone when we needed to use it.So far, we have only used it to lift my father-in-law out of bed a few times and to reposition my mother-in-law while she was recovering from hip surgery. Each time, we had no trouble getting the pad beneath them and it was much easier to lift or move our “patient” than it had been without the pad.If you are caring for a bedridden or injured person, this is a handy way to move your patient with little effort. It helps take stress off the caregiver while making it easier on your loved one. We are happy to have this pad and recommend it wholeheartedly.

This is a great buy and so versatile!
Wow, this SPRING SEAON Patient Positioning Bed Pad, or Transport Pad with Handles, is absolutely Perfect! It’s very eell made! All of the stitching is spot on and strong and it has securely sewn handles all the way around for a good grip! This makes positioning a patient a breeze in bed, or a chair, and the patient can’t even tell its under them. It seems waterproof but I haven’t tested that yet. It’s also the perfect size, and you get this at a great price!This really strong canvas Pad can be used for other things also. To securely carry and transport hurt or sick animals, or other items you can bundled other “taco” up in it. All the different handles are comfortable and well placed also. I’ll definitely be buying 1 for the farm to make transporting newborn/young calves on easier, without the risk of dropping them! (Yes, I Have used mine for this purpose and to carry loose hay to a cow.)This is a great buy!

Works as advertised!
This is actually pretty well made. Everything is stitched well. The material is easy to wipe down. The size is as advertised but I wish it was a little longer. It does make moving patients easy and feels safe.
