Padded straps make a huge difference
This belt is great if you have someone who is not able to assist with their transfer using their legs.We had been using a traditional belt, it would ride up, we would have to tighten it, it would still move, and would leave bruises. This belt was a game changer, the padding makes it more comfortable forbthe one neing transferred. The numerous handles make it easier to transfer to and from any position. But the padded straps that go around the legs made the biggest difference. They prevent the belt from sliding up. It lessens the strain on the person transferring because you don’t have to worry about the belt moving and possibly hurting the one being transferred or yourself.I would absolutely recommend this belt. There is a lot of trial and error when caring for a disabled loved one. Trying different things and seeing what works for your situation. After almost 27 years, we’ve tried many different tools. This one worked! I would tell anyone looking for a different gait belt to try this one.

Sturdy and Thoughtfully Designed Gait Belt for Safe Transfers
I purchased this gait belt mainly to assist my elderly parent with mobility during daily transfers. What drew me in was the innovative 7-pivot handle design, which promised to reduce caregiver strain significantly. When it arrived, I immediately appreciated the solid build and the comfortable cloud grip cushioning on all handle sizes. It felt sturdy in my hands and appeared well-made, with multiple handles that gave me confidence in control during sit-to-stand movements.Using it for the first few times, I noticed how smoothly the quick-release buckle and detachable thigh belt worked. The quick-snap mechanism made it easy to switch modes and put on in just a few seconds, which is a real convenience in a busy caregiving situation. The dual-range waist adjustment with the lace-lock system fit comfortably around my parent’s waist, and I appreciated the wide adjustment range from 35 to 60 inches. The breathable padding and airflow channels also made prolonged use much more comfortable, reducing skin pressure and keeping things cool, which I was pleasantly surprised by.Overall, this gait belt exceeded my expectations for safety and ease of use. It feels durable, with stress points that are triple-stitched and rated for up to 300 pounds. The thoughtful features like the stabilization strap and the breathable design make it a reliable choice for both quick transfers and longer assistance. It’s not quite perfect some handles could be slightly larger but for the price and quality, I am very satisfied.

Works well
I ordered this for my elderly in-law and it works pretty well so far. It is sturdy and well-made. The gait belt is padded on lined with a breathable mesh on the interior. It is easy to adjust for a secure fit. The vertical & horizontal handles on the exterior are strong and easy to grip. The 2 cross straps have a padded sleeve permanently-attached to them. They are perforated for breathability as well. All the buckets are of heavy duty and strong. This is straightforward to put on the elder and adjust for an optimal fit. It provides good handles to lift him up from bed, chair, etc. it isn’t too bulky or too heavy. A drawstring bag is provided for storage and travel, which is handy. Overall, I’m glad that I ordered this. It does a pretty nice job of what it is designed to do. It’s worth giving it a try if you have an elder to take care of. Good product.

I do really like that this lift assist Belt has quite a bit of padding for a more comfortable feel when you are either being lifted up or grabbing onto someone for help getting up. This multiple style use belt is very handy and a great way to help both sides of the caregiving process. This is great if both individuals can wear on of these lift belts for a much easier transition from sitting to standing or visa versa. It is a great way to hold onto someone without actually coming into contact with their body. This is a great peace of mind when in male and female caregiving situations. The handles are large and they offer a great grip as well as being very securely attached to the belt. There is extra cushion padding on the inside of the belt as well as the leg or shoulder straps. The belt and straps are adjustable and the buckles are easy to attach and to remove quickly.

Wow this is a great thing to have. I’ve used many different transfer belts, the leg straps on this is such a great idea. No more issues with belt ridding up with the transfers. I use this on my mother who has MS and has little to no mobility and this works wonderful. I like the hand holds as well. This is well made easy to put on. And if you’re a care giver like myself this saves time and i think much safer transfers since it dosent ride up when doing the lift. Stays in place.
