Best Compression Socks for Athletes – Affordable, Durable, and Great Quality!
My son plays club hockey and has been playing for years, and these are by far his favorite socks! They give great support, stay in place, and help with recovery after long practices and games. They were actually suggested by my dad, who’s been playing hockey for over 30 years — and he swears by them too. They’re inexpensive, last a long time, and the quality is amazing. You really can’t beat them for the price — durable, comfortable, and perfect for athletes or anyone needing solid compression and support!

Compression Socks: AKA The Leg Hugs I Didn’t Know I Needed
So, let me start by admitting something deeply personal and mildly regretful: I didn’t wear these SB SOX compression socks on the flight out. And what did I get in return? Puffy ankles, tired legs, and a deep, spiritual sense of betrayal — by myself.Cut to the flight back, where I decided to give these socks a shot. And wow. Suddenly, I wasn’t shifting in my seat like a grumpy flamingo trying to keep circulation in my legs. My calves? Energized. My ankles? Practically singing. My dignity? Restored.I don’t know what kind of wizardry is stitched into these things, but the moment you put them on, it’s like your legs are being lovingly squeezed by a team of tiny, supportive life coaches whispering, “You’ve got this. Blood flow is happening. Swelling is not invited.”Sure, you might look a little like a retired Olympian or someone on their way to a medical conference, but who cares? Your legs feel amazing. You could run a marathon! (You won’t. But you could.)In short: The one time I didn’t wear them, I regretted it deeply. The time I did? I considered writing them into my will. These aren’t just socks — they’re a lifestyle. A snug, slightly nerdy, extremely comfortable lifestyle.

Top notch product, terrific vendor: Recommended to anyone.
SB SOX (20-30mmHg): The best I’ve tried thus far (and I’ve tried a lot of compression socks). Suffered from multiple DVT’s in the left leg due to several veins collapsing during one of the surgeries. They installed some 6+ FT of stents on the veinous side to save the leg (one of the FDA studies out there). Anyway, the end result is that I now get to wear compression stockings from now on. These are simply the best compression stockings that I’ve found so far (including the medical grade ones you need an Rx for – that simply cost 4-times as much, but have same rating and do the same thing). The band at the top does not cut, they provide good/solid compression from the ankle up, and they make your legs feel great. I’ve tried some brands that I’ve simply had to throw away after wearing them once (they were that bad or the band at the top was simply not worth it). For walking/exercise, the SB-SOX also feel great and help during and after the walk (can now do 5-8K’s). Or, if you are on your feet all day, these socks will make you feel better when you get to the end of the day (at least your legs will feel better). For the athletes, I can see these socks helping runners at any distance. The vendor is terrific to deal with and they are always willing to help (vendor provides some nice discounts for buying more than one – and you’ll want to buy more than one so that you don’t have to wash them every night). The only other one that I’d recommend is made by “Run Forever Sports” (also a 20-30mmHg compression) – they feel just as good. The SB-SOX’s are a little cheaper out the gate and if you are buying more than 1-pair, they give you a 5% discount for each added pair (up to 30% off for 6-pair). For the money, the SB-SOX’s are my go-to brand and I suspect I’ll eventually be wearing this brand exclusively (once I’ve weeded out or worn out the sub-par brands that I’ve tried………or once I’ve worn them enough that I can justify throwing them out; as they are expensive and I wanted to try and get some use out of the other brands that I still have). To anyone out there that wants to simply feel better at the end of a race or at the end of the day – give this brand a try. To anyone out there that needs to wear them for a medical condition (such as DVT’s or the pain caused by them), you also will not be disappointed (hang in there and I hope you get some relief).Disclaimer: I paid for each pair of SB-Sox’s that I own out of my own pocket and rec’d nothing for free (also got nothing for the time I spent to write this review). At times, I do wonder if the review is unbiased or not and I also wonder if the review can truly be unbiased if the product was given to them for free (I suppose it can be done – but you do still wonder). Anyway, we’ve all seen reviews where a product was given to a person for free or in exchange for an ‘honest-review’. I wanted to put in the same sort of disclaimer – just stating that I paid for them outright. I do try to read reviews when I’m looking to make a purchase and I do appreciate when an honest review is available. While I don’t write many reviews, I wanted to at least provide the same courtesy to others that I look for. So, I’ll try to find time when a product is working for me and at least provide some feedback – hence this (long-winded) review.Best regards.

TRUE 20-30 compression, see if the fit works for you
I wear compression socks all the time and have for years, and overall, these seem to be a good product. They may run or seem to run a bit small, mainly due to their true compression. They REALLY have 20-30 compression, unlike a lot of cheaper brands that say they’re 20-30 but are not. So your average person who thinks they buy OTC ‘compression’ socks are probably not used to medical grade 20-30. I wear medical grade 20-30 regularly – note – they ARE very hard to get on and off – that’s a thing with higher compression. (A feature, not a bug – LOL). However, the length + the compression level of these didn’t work for me in this size/sock. They were a bit too long in the foot but I couldn’t have gone tighter which they probably would be if I went down a size. (I wear a women’s size 9.) So I am going to try their 15-20, (which I can sometimes wear, depending on the brand), in the same Large size and see how they work. SB SOX seems to have pretty heavy-duty compression, which I appreciate at this price point, and I am hoping the 15-20 work for me.

    Good stretch and compression
I bought these for my husband following a cardiac event. They fit well and comfortably. These socks help a lot in keeping swelling to a bare minimum without being restrictive. They are meant to fit snug, he’s able to put them on/off by himself- I can’t imagine having to do it for him though.

First off—very speedy delivery(thank you!). Appears just as advertised. Initially hesitant(when ordering),as my shoe size and calf size fell between 2 different sizes. GO WITH YOUR CALF SIZE. Glad I did. Fits perfectly. So comfortable, the sole of the socks has some extra padding of sorts woven (I’m not a cloth expert)into it. Like an extra cushy walk. Breathable…purchased in summertime,my skin feels no sweat.Having raved about this, realistically I have yet to see the durability in its wearing time/washing and longevity. So far,I’m happy! If after a month it’s all good, gonna order more and for family as well.

I broke my ankle 2018. After plaster off my leg and ankle kept swelling. I bought these sox….. omg they work brilliantly . Keeps the swelling down. Will take a year to repair anyway. Don’t be tempted to buy larger sox. To start keep your leg up as normal and put on when swelling at lowest. Can’t recommend enough.

Superconsigliate!!
