The best book ever!!
I have lived with a seizure disorder since 1980, first seizure at 13 years of age. Life has been a challenging journey, from junior high through college, to career, a marriage, motherhood and beyond. The authors are the best epilepticologists in this country. I have made pilgrimages to their offices in various cities in the USA to have them evaluate me. One of these authors/epilepticologists finally found the brain lesion that is the source of my seizures. I cried that day, it took so many years to get there and these authors/physicians finally answered my questions.I buy this book for others, the notes on SUDEP on page 142 are invaluable, so are the notes one’s menstrual cycle correlated with seizures on page 216.This book is a MUST have for anyone who lives with seizures.

Great Book
My daughter was recently diagnosed. I bought this book for her so she can start doing some research and maybe know what questions to ask doctors and have a better idea about her symptoms. She is very happy with it. I am ordering a second one for myself.

A Must Buy for Parents of a Newly Diagnosed Child!
It is hard describe the sheer terror I had when my daughter had her first seizure. When she was diagnosed with epilepsy I just felt scared and jumped in head first to educate myself on the topic. Epilepsy 101 is a must read and my favorite of all the books I purchased. The authors explained in a way that was easy for me to understand what is epilepsy, what are our treatment options and most importantly how to live with epilepsy. It is remarkably reader-friendly for a medical book, and told me everything I needed to know about seizures and and does so in the most reassuring and calming way imaginable. I highly recommend!

Creepy and sad
If you have recently been diagnosed with epilepsy, I wouldn’t buy this book. Too many worst case scenarios. It’s a fright fest.
