Works much better than other types
This is the best chestnut scoring and cutting tool I have used. I have 2 others that I don’t use anymore since I bought these. The reason it is better is that it is made of steel, which gives it enough rigidity and hardness to easily cut through the skins of the nuts.The other ones that I used are mostly plastic, so they don’t have the strength and rigidity to reliably score the chestnuts. I might as well throw them away since I don’t use them anymore.

There is no instructions.
Idk how to use it… 😕 there is no instructions. I mean it’s definitely better than a regular knife. I have no idea how to peel.

Very poor quality
I purchased this and loved it the first time I used it to cut chestnuts. I bought another as a gift thinking that one would also be great. The one I bought as a gift broke the first time it was used. The handle cracked while pressing it to cut the nuts. We returned that one. The next time we used the one we purchased for our home, ours seemed to start cracking. So, we retuned that one too and bought another brand that was more expensive. I am giving this one star because it did make a nice cut the first time we used it…

Wrist and fingers saver
100% satisfied. I got very tired on my wrist and fingers when I peeled chestnuts with a knife. So I bought this. Not only saving my hand, this let me peel them much faster and easier. And the plastic handles are strong enough.

An amazing tool, it’s so sharp!. Buy you need to watch your fingers as Chestnuts are so slippery it’s hard to get a grip ending in nasty scratches.
