Basically an expensive timer that does its one job well
It frustrates me buying a specific device to do something that my phone could do so easily, and yet the reason I need it is because my phone is so distracting and can do so many things so easily. No app opening or unlocking phone and seeing notifications… this is just an expensive timer. That being said I did find it helpful in my last writing session. Big chunks of time for an all day task are daunting but telling myself I’m going to give myself 25 minutes to work on something or 5 minutes to take a break is surprisingly effective (for now – I find I have to rotate through strategies).I did not find the operation completely intuitive, I did have to read the instructions. Mode 1 was gravity operated and mode 2 is timer mode where you can set your own time and have to use the tiny start/stop button in the back.In gravity mode, you point it up to pause and down to reset. But I found if I forgot what side I had been on and put it down on another time/side, it resets the timer… not a big deal, but one more thing to remember.I don’t know how long it will keep vibrating when done… I got tired of listening to it. The beep option is like a mildly muted alarm clock. There is also a silent option. I like the the vibrate mode give you haptic feedback when rotating it.The last minute of any length of time it switches to seconds. It charges with USB-CI’m torn on the rating – on the one hand it probably saved me an hour or two of focus in one day of using it, on the other… it’s just a timer that’s mildly pleasing to use and look at.To me it seems a bit pricey for what it is and like perhaps it could do more or have better settings, on the other hand it does exactly what it says it does in the description and I found it helpful and have no particular complaint… so it’s a begrudging five stars as I come to terms that my inability to focus often comes at a cost.

Instant, tangible Pomodoro helper
I know the Pomodoro technique has been around forever, but I’m a new fan. This little cube works better for me than fiddling with alarms, apps, and timers on my phone or laptop. It’s nearly instant, which makes it low-friction to use throughout the day. What I Like• Compact size: It’s not as big as it appears in the listing. It takes up very little real estate on your desk; it’s half the length of my mouse. I placed it on sticky notes for scale (see photo).• Zero-fuss gravity mode: No fiddlin’ around. Just flip the cube to a preset (60, 10, 25, or 5 minutes) and it immediately starts counting down.• Included short charging cable: No scrambling for batteries. It comes pre-charged, too. It takes 2 hours to fully charge and you’ll get many days of use.• Check out my clip: See my attached 9-second video clip for examples of the vibration sound and alarm sound when it hits zero (FYI, I couldn’t figure out if there’s a way to adjust the volume higher or lower). You can also choose no alarm and have it just blink “0” when time is up if you don’t need a bigger alert.• Non-distracting countdown: It doesn’t blink or animate every second. The display updates once per minute like a simple digital clock.• Cool look: A little retro-fun; it actually reminds me of the Magic 8 Ball I had as a kid.TipIf you’re new to Pomodoro, don’t aim for perfection. Just flip it to ANY time block when you sit down. The low-friction “gravity mode” makes it easy to build the habit because you remove all the decision fatigue.Other Thoughts• Mode 2 (manual timer/stopwatch) is there if you need custom minutes, but it feels a bit fiddly; more like setting an old alarm clock. For me, the real gold is Mode 1 gravity mode, which is the whole reason this works so well.Great value! Simple and helps me stay on task.

Great timer for focus
This flip timer has been a surprisingly useful addition to my desk setup. The flip-to-start design is fantastic – just rotate it to the time you want, and it starts automatically. It’s incredibly convenient and removes the distraction of fumbling with an app or extra settings. The build feels solid and well-made, and the display is clear and easy to read. I also really appreciate the vibration and volume control options. Being able to switch between silent vibration, low volume, and louder alerts makes it adaptable for different work environments, whether I’m at my desk, in a shared space, or working quietly in the evening. It responds quickly when flipped, and the simplicity makes it great for staying on task. A very helpful tool for anyone trying to build better focus habits – especially if you like tactile, no-nonsense timers.

Perfect Little Focus Machine
This little cube has honestly become my favorite productivity tool. The flip-to-start design is genius no fiddling with buttons, no app distractions, just set it on the time you want and it immediately gets you going. The presets (5, 25, 10, 50 minutes) are perfect for both quick sprints and longer deep-focus sessions, and the display is big and clear even from across the desk. The vibration and volume control are very useful. I can switch between silent mode for office meetings or shared workspaces, and louder alerts when I’m cooking or moving around the house. It also has a fully adjustable custom timer and stopwatch. The build feels solid, the size is compact, and I love that it looks clean and modern on my desk instead of like a toy. For anyone trying to stay on track like students, remote workers, or anyone with attention challenges this thing actually helps.
