Skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised
First of all I was not expecting much. I read the reviews and it seemed like these socks would either work or not do anything. I ordered them thinking it was worth a shot. I had previously tried over the counter inserts, Dr. prescribed and formed inserts, expensive supportive shoes, ice, exercises, etc. Nothing seemed to help my foot pain. I finally tried one of the over the counter braces that hold your foot in position at night but it was hard to sleep with it on and if I got the straps too tight, I would wake up in pain where the strap was putting too much pressure on my foot. I did however notice improvement and much less pain when I wore the brace and if I didn’t wear it, the pain in my heel returned in the morning. So with this in mind I thought the socks were worth a try.The socks arrived and I immediately put them on. First impression was that they were not tight enough to do much good (I ordered a size large and wear a size 10 shoe) but I figured I would give it a bit and see what happened. Well much to my amazement, in about 20 minutes I realized my feet felt better! These socks were really a surprise. I wore them for 5 or 6 hours after they arrived, then I went to bed with them on and woke up with no foot pain in the morning. I have been wearing them ever since. Even though they don’t feel overly tight, they do feel snug and I guess they compress my foot at the instep enough to keep the tendon stretched and not make my foot or heel hurt. They don’t seem to stop circulation in my foot and they do stay on and don’t slip around on my foot. Now don’t get me wrong, I still have some pain if I stay on my feet all day. But these socks do ease the pain. Before I started using a brace at night, I could barely walk in the morning my heel and instep hurt so much. But with the brace being used the last 3 weeks and now just wearing the socks, the pain is pretty much gone or not really noticeable when I first get up. I haven’t worn the brace for three nights now (I do wear the socks) and my feet feel good in the morning. I did try leaving the socks off for a few hours yesterday and maybe it is psychological but my feet did feel a bit sore after a few hours of not wearing them. The socks seem well made and after three days of use are not showing any signs of loose stitching or poor quality. I have not washed them yet and I guess I will see how things are doing in a month. But for now I am very pleasantly surprised at how well they work and how much better my foot feels with them on. I plan to buy a few more pairs and hopefully they will continue to make a difference.

Absolutely love this product and I highly recommend for plantar fasciitis
These socks help a lot with my plantar fasciitis. When my plantar fasciitis flares up really bad I put these on with my support in my shoes and I get a lot of relief. I have actually recommended these to my friends and they say the same them. I wear a size 8 in women’s and I feel most comfortable in the medium. I bought the smalls but they are a little to tight.

Not great, but still pretty good.
I actually purchased two pairs of these — one black and one pink. The pink pair is worth 5 stars, however I can’t say the same about the black. While they’re both the same size, the black pair is significantly tighter than the pink and I find them quite uncomfortable. Within a couple of hours, my feet are actually throbbing. The pink ones, on the other hand (foot? haha) are the opposite. I come home from work feeling like I can go a little longer on my feet than I usually would and I don’t see the swelling in my feet and ankles that I see without the compression. While I’m not sure why there’s a difference between the two colors, I can say that I’m pleased with the one pair (pink) and would recommend them to anyone who thinks they’d benefit from a lowcut compression sock. I’d also tell them, however, to size up if they choose the black. While my pair being smaller maybe a fluke, I think it’s better safe than sorry.

Too tight!
I ordered these after seeing them recommended in an article from Runners World. I don’t run anymore but I used to, and my part-time job requires me to be on my feet for several hours. I have always had a heavy heel strike and that flaw in my mechanics is catching up with me now that I’m in my mid-40’s, such that now I’ve developed plantar fasciitis in my left foot. It’s really painful, so I’ve formed a multi-faceted approach to fixing it including stretching, shoe inserts, rolling out muscles and fascia higher up the kinetic chain, ice, massage, lidocaine patches, anti-inflammatory medicine, and (finally) these compression socks.I get that these are supposed to be snug, however I ordered the size I should have according to the size chart and they make my toes go numb/cold and cause pain in my little toe. Maybe my feet are too wide? I received a black pair I ordered first, and I may just cut a notch on that side of the sock to see if that helps, bc they fit well around my heel, which is where all of the pain is. At any rate, I don’t want a second pair of socks that don’t work like they should right out of the box so I’m returning the pink ones I ordered. I give them 3 stars bc they’re cute, as compression socks go, and despite the pain and numbness in my toes, they DO seem to help alleviate some of my heel pain. I just can’t trade heel pain for toe pain, ya know? If you don’t have wide feet, give them a whirl.
