This model does not have a motion detection feature
Ok At this price point, this model does not have a basic motion detection feature for the camera. What’s the point of having a camera on the lock if you can’t tell when someone approaches it and can see with a notification? I’m not going to keep taking 2 min for the camera to connect until I can guess if someone is at my door and it definitely is not how security monitoring works. Very disappointed at myself for assuming a door lock at this price point would have this basic feature. As an update, however, the Lockly company has been working with me and has had incredible support and follow up. The model you need is the Elite if you want motion detection. I overlooked that on the description and assumed it was included. To be transparent I went with another company bc I needed a lock right away but I have been more than pleased and impressed with their follow up and willingness to work with me in regards to what to do with my lock from them.

Beautiful form, outstanding functionality, top tier tech and support.
I wanted the convenience of keyless entry with tele-video because I just hate carrying keys around and I want to see and communicate with whoever’s at my door. After doing quite a bit of research, I landed on the Lockly Vision Zeno because it checked all of the convenience and security factors. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.First, the packaging was very well organized and thought out. I know it doesn’t seem like that’s important, but I really appreciate when a company takes its time to make sure the unboxing of its complex product doesn’t produce anxiety. I’m not really a handy person, but I was able to clearly understand the order of operations of the setup. If there was a setup wizard in real life, Lockly’s kitting is it. There is clear separation between different “parts” of the installation (keypad, lock, etc.), with each installation manual inside the different section’s packaging to make it super easy to figure out what to do with which parts. Everything also had a QR code that linked to installation video tutorials, which I actually didn’t even need because the install was so easy and intuitive. Front to back the whole process took less than 30 minutes, including app configuration. There is a separate open door sensor that tells you when the door is left open for too long, which was a really nice surprise and nice to have because I have dogs and young children and I’d like to know if the door was left open. Love the sense of security, and again, totally did not expect it.I LOVE the fact that I can add a digital key to my phone and tap to unlock. However, this also has fingerprint entry so my kids can get in without keys. I read some review here about how having a keyhole defeats the purpose of a smart lock, but I’m assuming that person has never gone on vacation and come back to a powerless smart lock. I personally like the different ways to unlock because things just happen. Sometimes I want to go out for a run without my phone or keys, and this is literally the perfect solution for that. From an app functionality perspective, it’s clean, clear, and very responsive compared to what I’ve seen from other smart devices (looking at you Nest). The camera feature is shockingly HD (like 4K) compared to other door bells, but I suspect it’s because of the very clever processing system they’ve built. That little cylinder device I THINK handles the bulk of the video transfer so the processing isn’t done on the lock itself, and this provides a really clear and fast stream to the app. Finally, one of the best features I think is that the lock comes with two separate rechargeable battery packs. The app lets you know what the power level of the lock is at and you can always just keep the other one charging. I think the manual said each charge goes up to 60+ days? Either way, I’m glad I don’t have to load a bunch of AAA batteries into my lock like I’ve previously had to do for a digital (not smart) lock.Overall, love it. Love the design of the lock and the convenience of it all.THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW. I JUST APPRECIATE GOOD PRODUCTS.

    Don’t buy!!!!
The lock worked for about a week then started to malfunction. It would lock and not unlock. Considering it was my only was in, it was scary. Then when I tried to return it, I had to pay the return shipping for a lock that didn’t work. I replaced it with another LOCKLY lock, which was a terrible plan. Do not buy their products. They do not stand behind them and their customer service is terrible.

great upgrade for our front door
We’re very impressed with the Lockly Vision Zeno smart lock. The fingerprint unlock is fast and reliable, and I love having multiple ways to unlock the door (fingerprint, keypad, app, and key). The built-in camera is a great bonus with clear video and helpful notifications. It feels sturdy, looks sleek, and makes everyday life more convenient. Highly recommend!

Great lock but for the price, it should have a few additional features.
This is a really great lock from a really great brand with amazing customer support. I have several older models of the their locks on different doors in my house and originally got this one to replace our front door lock because of the incorporated camera. However, I realized that because we also have a storm door, that door actually obstructs the camera and renders it useless. So I put the original back on the front door and installed this one on our back door. I love the fingerprint sensor to unlock. It works perfectly and quickly. The touchpad also works great and I love that the numbers rotate after each touch so that you aren’t always doing the same pattern, you just have to look for the correct number in each cluster to enter your code. Having the ability to open with an actual key is great for those times you come home and find the battery dead so you can still get into your home. Installation is a breeze and only took me about 15 min. It takes longer to set up the app and fingerprints and all than it does to actually install the physical lock. I love that it works with Alexa as well so that I can verbally tell Alexa to unlock the door if I know the person outside. There are tons of features in the app as well to set it leave it unlocked for periods of time … great for when you are having lots of company coming over for a gathering or something. Now, for the sort of cons. I am a grown man of education so therefor I use an Android. My still growing and not fully educated kids use Apple stuff. this sort of works out for them so that they do not need to carry around a key (and possibly loose it somewhere) because they can just use their phone or watch to unlock the door. I can still use my phone with the Lockly app if I want but the fingerprint works just fine for me. I just wish it had a function for us more educated people that might want to use our phone with a NFC style unlock ( Like on my Samsung Ultra watch instead of those girly little apple watch things). I do however love that this lock came with two batteries so that I can have one always charged and ready to replace when the installed one gets low. The camera works really well and has fairly good picture quality and field of view but be aware that this particular model does NOT have motion detection. They do have a different model that does have the motion detection if that is a necessity. I believe it is called the Vision Elite (or something like that) I don’t really need that since our security system cameras on the front door have motion detection and all that fancy stuff. Just read the description of all of the features to be sure you are getting what you need for your situation. Overall the lock is built very well and had tons of great features and has so far operated flawlessly and I can easily recommend it. I just think the price tag is a little steep and could probably have a few additional options for this price.
