BXST Smart Plug – 2 Pack | Easy Setup & Alexa Compatible
I recently got the BXST Smart Plug 2-pack. Setting them up was surprisingly simple. I used the SmartLife app to get them online — just download the app, create an account, and follow the in-app prompts to discover the plugs. Make sure the plugs are in pairing mode, and they connected instantly to my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, appearing immediately in the app.Since I already have several devices connected to Alexa, I wanted these plugs integrated there as well. Linking was straightforward: open the Alexa app, enable the SmartLife skill, log in, and Alexa automatically discovers the plugs. From there, I can configure and control them with the Alexa app.The plugs themselves feel solid, support 15A/1800W, and are CE & FCC certified, so I feel safe using them with (indoor) lamps and small appliances. The compact design ensures they don’t block adjacent outlets, which is nice. Commands from the Alexa app are almost instant, and the Alexa automation options are flexible enough for daily routines.Pros:• Simple SmartLife app setup• Works flawlessly with Alexa (and I presume Google Home)• Supports schedules, timers, etc.• Compact, solid design, CE & FCC certifiedCons:• Only compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, as are most plugs• Slightly bulky if the outlet is behind furniture• Maybe a little on the pricey sideIf you want a smart plug that’s easy to set up and works perfectly with Alexa, the BXST Smart Plug 2-pack so far seems to be a good choice. The SmartLife app setup makes even first-time users feel confident getting everything running in just a few minutes, and being able to connect to Alexa is a huge plus.I knocked off one star on my rating because I’m not sure from a price-point that these are any better than alternative brands, as these seem a bit more expensive.Step-by-Step Setup for Beginners:Basic instructions are included in the box to show you how to connect the plugs to the SmartLife app. It’s pretty straightforward. If you need some assistance connecting to Alexa, here are some brief instructions to get you started.Step 1 – App Setup:1. Download the SmartLife app (iOS or Android) and create an account.2. Plug in the BXST smart plug and put it into pairing mode (press the button until the LED flashes quickly).3. In the app, select the + sign, Add Device and follow the prompts to connect it.Step 2 – Alexa Integration:1. Open the Alexa app, go to Skills & Games, search for SmartLife, and enable it.2. Log in with your Smart Life account and integrate with Alexa.3. Ask Alexa to discover devices.4. Once discovered, control the plugs through the Alexa app.

Easy, Solid Smart Plugs That Just Work
These 15A WiFi smart plugs have been a great little upgrade for my home setup. The build feels solid and compact, with a sturdy plastic body that doesn’t tug awkwardly on the outlet, and it’s clearly rated for up to 1800W, so I feel comfortable using it on higher‑draw appliances like space heaters and lamps with multiple bulbs. It’s CE and FCC listed, which gave me extra peace of mind about safety and quality, and after a few weeks of use, it still snaps in and out of the outlet just as smoothly as day one.Functionality is simple but effective: I can schedule the plug to turn on or off automatically, use countdown timers for things like turning off a fan after 30 minutes, or control it entirely by voice with Alexa and Google Home over my 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi. I don’t need any extra hub, which keeps things cheap and tidy. For example, I’ve started using it on my living‑room floor lamp and set it to come on at 6:30 p.m. so the room is welcoming when I get home, then shut off at 11 p.m. to avoid leaving it on all night. Overall, it’s a very cost‑effective way to add smart control to nearly any plug‑in device, and it’s held up really well so far.
