Helping kids learn empathy and understanding for others
In the author note, she described her hope as being to teach children about disabilities “in a way that is kind, compassionate and easy to understand. This book hits the mark on all counts! It shows the importance of naming feelings and having conversation around those who may have abilities or disabilities different from our own. The beautiful illustrations are big, bold, colorful, fun and support the message. There is even a hidden squirrel for the kids to find. I also appreciate the discussion questions and ways to include others at the end of the book. I have a grand daughter with cerebral palsy and I will be sharing this book with her brothers as well!

    Love it!
As a mom of a son with cerebral palsy we loved this book! It’s inclusive and was a great way to share with our older sons what their brother goes through. They understand he has cerebral palsy but don’t quite realize that not every understands what that means. Thank you to the author! We love it!

    Wonderful Communication Opener Positive Story!
A book to open communication with your children in a positive way. A recommended book for grandparents, teachers, parents, caretakers, who need a positive way to gently ease children into being comfortable with someone who does not move or act like them. Very clear for children to understand.
