Worked Flawlessly
This worked great. Left home at 4:00 AM to airport for Puerto Rico. At airport took it out of carry-on and put it in a plastic bin for x-ray. There were no issues at airport, not even a question. We arrived in Puerto Rico around 2:00 PM and made it to my destination @ 4:00 PM. 12hours after I packed it at home the temperature on the provided thermometer was 37 degrees. Worked great. Just what I needed. I would definitely recommend this product for your insulin or I the refrigerated medication.

This product works awesome.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:We purchased this because we were going on a trip. It worked awesome kept my Insulin cool and was easy to use. It’s nice it has a storage area for needles. The frozen insert stayed frozen and cold for all the time we needed it to.

Worth the money
Big and bulky but it fits in a carrier. The thermometer is a good perk. Kept my meds cold for a five hour flight including travel to and from the airport. First two flights didn’t get flagged by TSA, but on my third time using it did. They checked the components and I was sent on my way. This device is far superior to any of the compact zippered options with gel packs that you may be considering. Keep in mind I travel with a vial but I also included a pen in the package.

Nice Product for Traveling
Purchased for vacation and storage of various diabetic supplies. Could fit 5 pens inside with the blue cooler pack and thermometer. Storing needles and lancets in the top of the cooler was handy. No issues with TSA checking the product, some airports opened and checked, others just scanned, and one swabbed for explosive materials. Very sturdy materials. I did find it did not stay cool for as long as it was projected to, but we had numerous delays getting from point A to B with a flight diversion and unexpected overnight stay in another state, but the meds were able to get into a hotel fridge for the night and then use the cold-water pack for the next flight. Stayed cold the entire time getting home.

Keeps cold for 24 hours!
I did a test of these where I used the blue biopack through a whole day to test how long and how cold it keeps the inside of the cannister. At the coldest, it stayed at around 35 degrees. It kept pretty steady around there to 40 degrees for the next 26 hours, ending at around 40 degrees when I checked it last. The biogel had thawed some but was still relatively frozen.Keep in mind however, that this was inside with average inside temperature of 75 degrees so actual travel time might have a shorter length. But for airplane and car travel, where the assumption is that the area where this will be kept is going to be air conditioned, this will work fine.
