Best brace I’ve ever used
I literally can never be bothered to write product reviews, good or bad, without an incentive…but after just 6 hours of wearing this brace I felt compelled to share how absolutely SUPERLATIVE it is. If you have De Quervain’s, stop looking around and order this Mueller brace immediately!It’s comfortable, supportive, nonintrusive and fits great. Most importantly, the design of the thumb enclosure is brilliant; it lets you retain full access to functions of your thumb, but prevents the kind of backwards expanding “claw” hand movements that always cause a sharp pain in the wrist. And it’s loose enough to not cut off your circulation, which is perfect for long uninterrupted periods of use. For the price and performance this brace is unmatched.

Mueller is one of the most respected brands in braces. I love this one because it’s so adjustable with the three straps. It’s relatively lightweight and it looks like it’s breathable. This is the first day I’ve used it so I’m not 100% certain of that.It seems very well-made and doable. It’s got some cushioning and no painful and heavy metal inserts. Highly recommended.Technically, I can bend my thumb a little, but I’m not concerned about that. Even though this is called a thumb stabilizer, it’s really a thumb and wrist stabilizer, which is just what I needed. And it’s about half price of the other ones. You can’t go wrong with this brace, in my opinion.

Works well
I love this brace! It fits snuggly without cutting off circulation like some others. It holds my thumb firmly in place, unlike some others I’ve tried that allow the thumb to wiggle a bit. I have a ganglion cysts, ruptured tendon and tendon sheath, and multiple longitudinal tears in my tendons on my wrist. I have De Quervsons Tenosynovitis as well, and this brace has helped relive the pain! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the strap that goes around the wrist, at the bottom of the brace. It’s way to long! It wraps all the way around before you can Velcro it closed. This design means that the strap moves down the brace and I have to pull it back up in pace sometimes.

Comfortable durable and does the job
I have been using his off and on for about a month. I have issues with arthritis in my thumb. Undoubtably this is the result from being in a wheelchair for 20+ years and a consequence of constantly grabbing my hand rim to move myself around.We just took a trip to Europe where I had to do a lot of pushing. I wore this ontop of a light glove and it worked great. It gave me a bit more support for my thumb while not getting in the way of doing what I needed to do. There were several days where I wore this most of the day and it was reasonably comfortable. I will also say that it held up well. Frankly the brace held up better than my gloves.In my opinion, the brace probably did more by limiting my range of motion just enough to keep me from putting too much stress on the joint. I was happy that I had this on our trip.

Has been so helpful! I’ve been experiencing pain in my hand especially the wrist and thumb area that hasn’t been going away. This hand brace has been extremely helpful. I like how secure my hand feels in it. The brace part works great protecting my injured thumb. Love how adjustable the brace is, I even loosen it a bit and sleep with it on. I will be ordering this or very similar one in tan as well!

Fits well and comfortable for hours at a time
I tried several braces to help stabilize my arthritic thumb when it’s hurting. This is the only one that fits well, and doesn’t rub a blister between my thumb and index finger. It allows my thumb to rest and relieves pain. It was an excellent value, especially when compared to the drug store ones.

Thumb Velcro is too weak for contact sports like BJJ
I bought this brace to support my right thumb after an Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) injury.It looked promising based on the high ratings and description, but in reality it’s just MEH.The support is decent – there are firm inserts along the thumb that help keep it stable – and it’s fairly comfortable to wear. It’s also easy to put on and adjust, and the material is breathable enough for multi-hour use.But the main issue is the thumb Velcro.It just doesn’t stick well.During any kind of activity – especially contact sports or grappling – the thumb strap keeps coming undone.That makes the whole brace kind of pointless if you’re trying to protect your thumb while moving around or doing anything physical.If you’re only planning to wear it while resting or doing light activities, it might be okay.But if you’re looking for something that holds up during sports or anything active, the weak Velcro is a dealbreaker.This was a waste of money as it has obvious design flaws that needs to be fixed.Make all the velcro straps – especially the one on the thumb – longer and stronger and I’d buy it, otherwise this belongs in the trash.3-stars is being generous.

Best for comfortable thumb support for day or night! You adjust it to what pressure is comfortable.
I love having this on for protection! I often wear it to bed so my door or other household items don’t affect it enough to over use it. My doctor still does injections every so often to help, but this gets me through the day without having any issues. I bought 2 to protect my other thumb if needed. It fits either side depending on how you put a piece of metal inside it. If one wears out, I can get the other one and change where the metal is for it to support the other thumb. It’s definitely worth trying to wear it, as long as you take it off when work is done, but don’t depend entirely upon the extra support for help! Pictures below hopefully show hoe the 3 straps give you an idea of how they work. Each one allows you to adjust the pressure for each area. It’s very comfortable on the inside, and I have sensitive, older skin to care for.

Use este soporte como parte final de mi tratamiento de Tenosinovitis. Brindan un soporte firme, pero no rígido que llegue a lastimar.El material que esta en contacto con la piel es muy suave, me encantó ya que al usarla todo el día no me genera incomodidad o irritación.Cuenta con 3 velcros de ajuste. El del dedo pulgar y el de en medio son velcros firmes, es decir, no se puede estirar. El velcro ancho puede estirarse de acuerdo a la firmeza y necesidad del usuario.En generar excelente producto, merecedor de 5 estrellas. Espero mi reseña le ayude a otras personas a considerar este producto como opción, calidad superior a su precio!!!!!

Very supportive brace and material quality is very good – no signs of wear after a few months. It does hold your thumb fairly firm. More so than the Futuro stabilizer I also have. I use the Mueller when my thumb is in worse shape and I need the extra protection, then revert to the Futuro when a more relaxed fit is ok.I’ve found Mueller is a lot better than the Futuro for durability. I’ve had 2 Futuro thumb stabilizers and the material starts to come apart after only 3 months or so.
