Modular Safariland with ALS retention lock… hard to argue against
I’ve been using Safariland holsters in just about every application and wear style. The added benefit of the ALS retention is also a big plus. I do appreciate also the affordability of the 7TS line. This holster has really four jobs as it sits in four different platforms. #1 – in my custom shoulder rig that can be oriented for both vertical and horizontal carry. #2 – as a low profile paddle holster for concealed carry. #3 – on a drop leg platform as a backup for winter hunting #4 – as a high ride holster on my battle belt as a tactical secondary system.I’ve purchased no less than a dozen of these holsters and perhaps triple the number of mounting options for all of the various types of carry I employ. As I’ve thoroughly invested in Safariland systems I will no doubt continue to purchase and use Safariland for everything, the ALS being my preferred method of retention. And I’m also thoroughly satisfied with its performance.

Fits single stack 10mm
Awesome. Hard to find holster that fit my RIA M-1911A1 Commander frame 10mm with pic rail but this does the trick. Only complaint is a slight rattle but it fits secure with the ALS retention as one would expect.

RIA Tac Ultra FSHC
Contrary to several of the answers given in the Q&A, this holster DOES fit a government sized 1911 WITH A FULL RAIL!! My 9mm Tac Ultra fits in it perfectly. It stays locked in good and tight with very minimal play. The release lever is in a good position to allow the firearm to be drawn quickly and easily if need be. Works well for EDC, or replace the paddle with QLS and it would be a great holster for 3-gun.

Good sturdy holster
I got it for my kimber 1911 custom II, it fits well there is a screw to adjust tension of the draw. The ALS works good you just need to build muscle memory to become very efficient with it. The DuPont material it’s pretty sturdy and doesn’t mess up the firearm finish. I do recommend blowing it out with compressed air once in a while to get rid of any crap that sneaks inside the holster and could mess up the finish. You can spray the inside with some silicone spray to get a smoother draw.

Safariland for 1911 Government
Great holster for open carry or conceal. The handgun locks up great when in the holster and easily pulls out. If you’re looking for a nice holster that works, this is it. You can carry cocked and locked, trigger is completely covered, gun stays secured. Quality is excellent and it will not scratch your handgun.

I hated this holster but it’s me not the holster.
I returned this holster within an hour of receiving. It has nothing to do with the holster itself but it’s me. I have worn leather holsters for 4 decades and just am not a fan of the polymer and kydex holsters. I have tried them from probably 20 companies and just hate them. Again it’s not them its just that I’m a stubborn old SOB.
